This is a small temple inside the outer circle lawns. You have to climb some steps . This is a Shiva temple which was pictured in the song "Jai Jai Shiv Shanker.." from film "Aap ki Kasam". The temple is exactly as it was then.

its a small temple which was picturised in Rajesh Khanna's famous 'Jai Jai Shiv Shankar' song.... few steps to climb... small and peaceful place... picturesque view of snowled mountains from here...no need to take a horse ride... you can walk up to this place

A small temple in the middle of the Gulmarg meadows is what makes this temple most striking, not to forget the iconic film song 'Jai jai shiv shankar' that was shot here in 1974 with Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz. Flashback into many memories as you climb the 50 odd steps of this temple!

The steps leading to the temple were fully snow-covered and extremely slippery - with the hand rails missing at several places - making it extremely difficult / dangerous to walk up / down. This needs to be looked into seriously.

When we planned to visit, it was heavier than usual snow fall and entire temple got covered with snow so couldn't see. However, when we went in evening a day earlier was great place and gave good feelings as well.

Very Old Shiva Temple located at Golf Ground. Belongs to the Royal Family of Kashmir. Surprised to see that the Temple Priest was a Muslim guy.

The temple is ancient and it is famous for a Bollywood song pictured there 'Jai Jai Shiv Shankar' by Rajesh Khanna. Another divine place.
