Qianling Mountain, located in Yunyan District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Guiyang City.

There are many wild monkeys living in Qianling Mountain, and they can be said to be the real owners of Qianling Mountain. The monkeys at Qianling Mountain are macaques, which are protected by the State Grade II, and are one of the most common types of monkeys in nature. The monkeys are very mischievous and may steal food and drinks from tourists' hands, so it is best to put all the food in your bag before visiting.

It's a good park to visit in Gui yang city for a day trip. The park fee is about 1 USD per person, and you could spend the whole day there including hiking, visiting the zoo (at no charge), visit the historical cave, the lake and the temple. The view is very beautiful with lot of monkey surronded. I would say it's one of the best city park in China.

We went in early afternoon on a weekday, it was not too crowded when we arrived. We took the cable car up to the highest point, and I strongly recommended taking this option. The hill is very steep and it is a very long walk up winding around the mountain, and at certain places, there are steps. The walk will take at least over an hour or two to the top. It is definitely a work out for the fit and a challenge for the less so.
There is a pagoda which has seen its better days at the top of the mountain. This is the place for the panoramic view.
We walked down from the top and stopped at the not very impressive temple (2rmb for admission), and a small cave. The walk down took about 40 minutes at a moderate pace without stopping. There were lots of wild monkeys along the road side being fed by visitors, even though there were signs warning not to get close. Monkeys were not our scene. It was somewhat a let down after reading all the wonderful reviews,

Guiyang is a great little city with a few parks in and around the city. Qianling Park is better known as the "Monkey Park" for its wild little inhabitants. These monkeys have no barriers and will jump at you if they sense you have anything consumable. Besides the monkeys, it is a great park to walk around, see a small zoo, and just enjoy the few wooded places in the city.

Visted the Guiyang Qianling Mountain today.
As the name would suggest it a mountain park so would advise sturdy footwear. lots to see and do. If Walkings not your thing would suggest the cable car. To the top of the mountain and walk down it costs 20 Yuan up and 15 yuan down.
There are lots of monkeys there so keep all food well hidden as they are fond of take it.
The Toilets there are very basic. open sewer springs to mind. Plenty of hand sanatiser required (A must whereever you go). But done be put off it a must see.

If you go to the city of Guiyang you should visit this beautiful park very close to the city Ten minutes by taxi Value entry ticket 5000 yuan China Find beautiful flowers, find the green mountains, tranguil foreat and old tample, located on the qianling mountain, the temple Very large and beautiful lakes, with a small zoo, some cafes and restaurants can spend more than four hours. But I see the difficulty of visiting this place for the disabled to the difficulty of the ground and the many stairs,

It has been some years I haven't been to Qianlin Park and revisit it with my parents this June. It is the old and famous citizen park in Guiyang consists of natural mountains, lakes, caves, temples and especially unique for lots of monkeys play freely inside the large park so all people could watch them in a close distance. The area near the park front gate is always crowed with local people and tourists where I don't suggest you to stay long, and lots of elders are doing some exercise or playing chess together. In some special festivals there would be huge crowd come to the park and pray in the Hongfu temple on the mountain top. Normally it is crowded but could be enjoyable to walk deeply inside. You would walk through a long cave along Qianlin Lake to the zoo area. For me, I especially like the mountain path and zoo(it is not a big zoo but a new panda base and museum open this year) area inside it where less tourists and more natural beauty with fresh air. If you would like to see the pandas, it is better to visit the part in the morning because most of the time the two pandas are sleeping lazily.

The park is very peaceful and is an enjoyable walk. Parts of the park are quite hilly, but the steep parts can be avoided. There is a cable car to the top of the mountain if required. Also, there is a tunnel which connects one part of the park to another and avoids climbing the hill. The lakes are extensive and the views beautiful. Well worth spending two or three hours. It takes about 20 mins from the city and costs about 12 RMB. Also if you are over 65 entry is free. You can see many people exercising. Beware the monkeys - they will attack if you are eating anything when you pass.

Took a taxi from Novotel Downtown. Cost 25rmb. Approx 20 minutes. Cost to get into Park was 10rmb. A lovely walk with fresh air, large lake with a bridge to cross. People walking around singing so beautiful. Spotted a few monkeys on our walk and looked up into trees to see more. Visited the Panda area which we only saw one. Very cute. Walked back down the track and decided to take the cable cart up the mountain . Cost was 30rmb return. Cheapest cable cart I’ve been on. Great look out from the Hongfu temple. You can walk down but it had been raining so it was a bit slippery. Overall a great morning.
