Visiting Jiaxiu Tower, perched gracefully along the Nanming River in Guiyang, was like stepping into a scene from a traditional Chinese painting. This ancient three-story pavilion, famed for its elegant architecture and cultural significance, stood as a symbol of Guiyang's rich history. Crossing the historic Fuyu Bridge to reach the tower, I was captivated by the picturesque surroundings. Inside, the collection of artworks and calligraphy told stories of bygone eras. The view from the top, overlooking the river and cityscape, was breathtaking, especially as the sun set, casting a golden hue over the landscape. Jiaxiu Tower offered a serene escape, blending historical charm with scenic beauty.

In the center of Guiyang city, it is recommended to visit at night, there are lights, it is very beautiful, there are many locals will run or walk around. There are also a lot of Guiyang food and restaurants near Jiaxiu Lou, which is very convenient.

I would say it's famous, nice, beautiful, easy to reach there. But, it's not that fun, nothing much to do, because you won't take much time to spend there.

Great location to take photos and walk around. These buildings were rebuilt several times. This was the location where scholars came to study in the past. There were not too many ancient relics left. We were there at mid morning without too many tourists, thus making the visit enjoyable.

Visited Jiaxiu Tower with friends and it is a great place for a walk and to take photos. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, some even on the river which makes for a great dinner watching the world go by!

Very pretty little bridge with lovely views over the river and the skyline. Great location as well, close to the airport with lots of restaurants and amenities nearby.

This historic architecture is worth a quick visit if you are in Guiyang. It’s in the centre of the town. Walking distance if you are staying in a city hotel. Entry is free.

This was a really nice stop on our trip through Guiyang. The juxtaposition of the old and the new right in the heart of town was interesting. They are cleaning up the river which is great. Unfortunately the gardens didn’t hold up to our hopes but still a nice place for a stroll. Also good people watching here

We stayed 2 nights in Guiyang and was only 15 minutes walking distance to Jiaxiu Tower from our City homestay apartment. Is a good slow walk by the river to see this few hundred years old tower. It is mainly recording some historical account of a famous General at that time.

The Tower and adjoining buildings opposite house some old writings, A lot of locals just sit around to enjoy the scenery and breeze during the winter month as is free entrance. Go in the night to see the glittering lights.
