The Crater which is a nature's wonder on its own played hosts to a great variety of interesting animals and birds. However, it also attracts flocks of tourists and vehicles which rather makes it overly commercialized. My advice is to focus on the Black Rhino...More

Most of the animals seen in Serengeti are in the crater, only Giraffes and Leopards are missing, though can be found on the edges of the crater. If you would have only time for place to visit in your trip to see the animals, this...More

We spent the whole day day in the crater taking both picnic breakfast and lunch. Great experience all around. What a beautiful way to see terrific scenery such as huge overlapping clouds falling over the rim looking like snow and brilliant sunshine below! Some of...More

Ngorongoro is a must see. A cavernous crater loaded with wildlife. We saw lions, hyena, elephants and thousands of zebra, wildebeest and other grazing animals. Breathtaking start to our safari

The landscape of the crater is absolutely arresting. A large depression surrounded by hills lined with clouds, this space is filled with animals. We saw numerous lions, amongst other animals. Unfortunately we did not spot a rhino which we were really hoping to see.
