This trip could not have been a better experience for my friend and I. From the planning with Kim and Edward, to the tours in Moshi and Arusha, and to the top of Uhuru peak - there are no words that can encompass the amount of gratitude and awe I have for the Team at Pristine. Of course, the highlight of our trip was trekking Kilimanjaro with the best team anyone could have asked for. Our professional and team-oriented guides were Yaky and Juma - they both had one goal in mind: our success to the top of the mountain with our safety as top priority. They were both very knowledgable on the trails, the history, and the foliage of the mountain. Every opportunity was a learning opportunity and it was clear that Yaky and Juma have a passion for the mountain like no other, and want their hikers to have the best experience! Each day was planned and communicated well. One thing we shared was our love of laughter, and Yaki and Juma made sure each day had an abundance of smiles. Our chef was Emmanuel - every meal was thoughtfully prepared with a variety of food and was always absolutely delicious. Our amazing team of porter: Peter, Mlenga, Jackson, Mbwana, Hammis, Abdulkareem, Said, Waziri, Augistino, and Aloyce ensured our gear and our joy had accompanied us all the the way to Uhuru peak. It would not have been the exceptional experience it was without them all. The hard work that the Team puts in each day is beyond impressive. In addition, the Moshi town tour with Yaky was humbling, delightful, AND with delicious food. The town of Moshi is truly beautiful, just likes its people. During our tours and transportation, I have to give a shout out to Richard and Joseph for getting us from point A to point B and remaining patient with our needy picture taking! So much to see! We also went to the coffee plantation in Materuni Village - again, another fantastic opportunity learning the history of the land, Chagga people, and how to make coffee! Shout out to Oscar and his family for the experience and for his educational points I would ask anyone reading this review and trekking with Pristine soon....to bring any extra gear you have and are willing to donate to the porters on the mountain. Gear in Moshi is hard to come by and you will see the abundance of porters with limited gear making the most of what they have with very difficult terrain and weather. It would be a huge help! Cannot recommend the Team with Pristine enough for any upcoming adventure!

Pristine Trails truly made our trip the best it could’ve been. Kim and Edward were so helpful and full of knowledge in the planning and booking process and made everything incredibly easy. Our Kilimanjaro guides Pasat and Suley were so knowledgeable and fun and made the 7 days on the mountain some of my best in all of my travels to date. All of the porters were kind and helpful and were the best team we could ask for. On top of that, we had an amazing Safari with our incredible guide Peter and finished it off with a great stay in Zanzibar - all booked and coordinated by Pristine. I hope to go back and highly recommend anyone looking to explore the amazing country of Tanzania to book with Pristine!!

We took the 8 day Northern Circuit route up Kilimanjaro with Pristine Trails, with 3 others (group of 5). In short, we could not be happier with the experience and have no hesitation in strongly recommending them to anyone who projects to climb the big mountain. Not all of us would have made it to the top and safely back down were it not for our 3 guides, 19 crew and logistics/back-up team in the office. The level of service was excellent, but more than that, it was the heart and enthusiasm that they all put into their jobs that truly made this a unique experience, especially compared to other groups we saw on the trek. It was already quite incredible to witness them carry huge loads, sleep little and get everything ready for us, but they also did so with a smile. Nothing was ever too much to ask for: it was all ‘hakuna matata’, whether at 2,000m or 5,895m! One of us even got a birthday cake and little party back at the office on our return. As for special mentions: Suleiman was an excellent lead guide and worked in real synergy with his assistant guides Eliakim and Dismas: safety was always top priority. A special thank you to the chef (Lucas), who whipped up incredibly complex and tasty meals at all altitudes, and waiter (Diamond), whose attention to detail and care were exemplary. Also to John, the camp manager, who coordinated all camp logistics to ensure we were comfortable, together with Hamidu and Ali. A shout-out to strong men Juma and Twalib, who assisted with the final, overnight push to the summit and back down. And finally, thank you to the commercial director Joel Mtunga for all guidance and the stellar organisation. Pristine Trails clearly take care of their people, but they also clearly recruit well. We have no hesitation in recommending them to others for the Kili treks, and hear (from our teammates) that their Safari offer is also excellent.

Our experience with Pristine Trails Adventures and Safarai was absolutely exceptional! We had a 9 day adventure with Pristine in July 2022. First, we visited the rhino and African wild dog sanctuary at Mkomazi. Then we flew to the virtually uninhabited Rubondo Island, where we went trekking for chimpanzees. Lastly, we did safaris in several of the parks, including Manyara National Park, Tarangire National Park, and the Ngorongoro crater. We also visited a Maasai village. There were many highlights of this trip. First, the experience at the Rubondo Island Camp was unmatched from the perspective of everyone in our collective well-traveled group! The setting is pristine, the service and attention to detail are incredible, and everything is done with joy. Trekking for chimpanzees was such a unique experience. We drove/boated to the location where we begun our hike. We then hiked (total ~9 km) to find the chimps. Because the chimps are truly roaming freely, the duration of the hike can be variable. We saw a family of chimps, including the alpha male and a ‘teenager’ who put on quite a show for our group! We also went on a boat tour to see birds and crocodiles. And of course, there are the hippos in Lake Victoria water at the camp itself! At the Mkomzai sanctuary, we saw several black rhinos very close up, and had the chance to see them interacting with each other and with zebras. The next morning we visited the African wild dog sanctuary, where we learned about the dogs and had the chance to go in to the area and watch them be fed. On the safaris in Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro, we saw numerous animals up-close, including lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, a black mamba, ostrich, baboons, hyenas, etc. Throughout this trip, Pristine arranged for food that met my dietary restrictions (gluten and dairy free). I never had to worry about what would be available, and the food was amazing. Our guide Laurent was kind, knowledgeable, and made sure that we felt at home – we felt like family by the end! I cannot say enough about the professionalism, planning, experience, personalization, and attention to every detail that came with our Pristine trip to Tanzania!

We had a fabulous trip to Tanzania with Pristine. Kim did an amazing job coordinating our travel, which was very complicated and included people coming from multiple destinations and arriving and leaving at different times. Everything was extremely smooth and well coordinated. Our guide, Laurent, was amazing. He went above and beyond on multiple occasions to ensure that everything went smoothly. He also guided us through multiple parks - each one an amazing experience, where we saw all of the animals we wanted to see and more! He also managed our multiple itineraries with ease and enabled us to just enjoy the trip without worrying about anything. He was extremely knowledgeable about animals, the parks, where we were staying and how to get things done. On top of everything else, the food was great and Laurent really learned what our group liked and how to handle our timing. He was super friendly and even took care of little things like getting a wooden statue wrapped for the plane for us. Overall, we can’t say enough about Laurent and Pristine. This was truly a unique and amassing trip!
