Super fun day at Kikuletwa (Chemka) Hotsprings (they are the same place). Not actually a hotsprings, more of a lagoon. Beautiful setting, crystal clear water and very clean. Friendly casual staff who fetch you food and drinks. Be careful as the water is very deep and there is a current. Absolutely worth a visit!

Silent place to swim. There are people who helps you taking pictures and for swimming. The springs place under the trees so the sun does not shine directly to you.

Located approximately 1.5 hours away from moshi. Kikuletwa Hot springs is one of the Tanzania's many hidden gems. A beautifully natural pool hiding away among twisting fig trees in the middle of a dusty landscape, this little Oasis is a great place for relaxing. The crystal clear waters are lovely warm temperature and you can even enoy a free fish pedicure with all tiny that nibble away at your feet.

I spent a day trip there after climbing mountain Kilimanjaro and safari. With my friends we decided to visit the place before heading to Zanzibar and it was very fantastic. We asked our guides at Bayango Tours if we could visit the place and still manage to take the evening flight they said yes, later we enjoyed it to the maximum, getting local lunch, fruits and soft drinks around the spring. Also we enjoyed the local people too as they were all charming. Recommended and promise to visit there again.

What a beautiful place! It was comfortable but a bit chilly outside this time of year I guess! I was worried about bugs and mosquitos but not too many. We felt safe even with malaria medications.

How accessible is the road? Tarmac? Rough road? Easy to access or it's advisable to use a 4 wheel?

The hot spring itself is accessible from Ausha and Moshi on a couple hrs drive. I do not believe its an issue.
for that particular visit we stayed at Arusha Centre inn, just a small backpackers type accommodation.

Is there an entrance fee charged, and of how much? Does it include swimming in the hot water springs? I have seen the two questions posted earlier but this seems not to have been answered

Like $5 USD equivalent for entry. Taxi may be expensive depending on your proximity to the location. And I forgot how much the BBQ costs there but bring cash for that because it is amazing!

Is it easy to get to the hot springs from accomodation in moshi?? Or do we need to book a safari or day tour through an operator??

Just arrange a trusted taxi driver through your accommodation in Moshi. If you need one, I have a guy I use when I’m in Moshi. I wouldn’t book anything via an organized tour- you’ll spend a lot of money that you don’t need to spend.
