So when looking to climb Kilimanjaro we researched over 30 companys and narrowed it down to 3 . We decided to use Habari Adventure and the correspondence was first class. No matter how many times we changed things or emailed Stan we always received a quick reassuring responce . Things I loved about Habari the airport transfers on arrival and departing the lovely hotel for a night before and after the climb including breakfast ,the knowledgeable guides Leon Michael Innocence who offered nothing but kindness friendship and motivation each pointing out different plants and animals along the way and leading with confidence. The standard of tents sleeping mattress and sleeping bags ( at a small cost) We always seemed to have great spots at the various camps along the route thanks to Allan . The quality of food and the amount provided including snacks while walking. You wonder how it's possible to get homemade pizza and chips on a mountain but Jimmy our superstar chef made it possible. The server Aboo who never failed to smile and cheer us up with hot water and ginger tee these people quickly became family and welcomed and encouraged us all the way especially summit night knowing how tough it was going to be broke into song at certain points boosting our spirits and giving us the determination to make it to the summit . A % of each trip booked is put in the Habari foundation helping local communities .There's so much more to write about this awsome company . So if your trying to decide on a firm to book with don't hesitate with these guys you will not be disappointed .

I and my friends travelled to Tanzania at the very beginning of December 2023, we booked 7 days Lemosho route with Habari Adventure. I am eternally grateful to the Habari Adventure staff for an amazing 7 day trip. With the help of our experienced guides and porters, every person from our group summited safely!

The booking process was easy and they were very accommodating to our group’s needs. We felt safe and taken care even before our trip began. We were given plenty of information therefore we had a lot of options which helped us to choose what is the best for us.

Our guides Tonny, Leonard and Evance they were attentive, informative, kind and supportive. They take safety very seriously by checking our heart rate and oxygen levels twice per day. They are knowledgeable about acclimatization and trekking pace.

The meals were delicious, Eugen our waiter woke us up with a cup of tea every morning, he also make sure that after a long day hike there is always snacks, popcorn and hot water for wash. They put so much care into every meal. We never went hungry.

Our camp master, Allen did a wonderful job setting up and breaking down camp everyday which made us feel safe and comfortable in our tents, it was quite luxurious.

In this amazing trek, we learned so much about Tanzania culture through knowledgeable guides and friendly porters. They even went beyond during the hike, educating us on native flora and fauna and teaching us bits of Swahili.

It was an experience of a lifetime made possible by Habari Adventure team. I highly recommend Habari Adventure for anyone seeking for a lifetime adventure.

Amazing local company with which we climbed Kilimanjaro via the 7 day Lemosho route followed by 3 days safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.

I can’t put into words how amazing the Kilimanjaro climb was. The guides (Joseph, Ombenni, Michael and Awali) were very experienced and always made us feel safe. They kept us smiling throughout and made sure it was an unforgettable experience. The rest of the team were extraordinary and the level of service was incredible. Everything ran like clockwork and the porters went above and beyond to help in any way possible.

Our 3 day safari was really enjoyable with our guide Hillary who was a very good driver and we felt very safe. He was super knowledgeable and we were able to see all of the Big 5 and take some amazing photos - can’t ask for much more!

100% you should choose Habari Adventure!

TL;DR – do not hesitate and choose Habari Adventures.

We’ve booked two trips with Habari – Kilimanjaro trek and 2-day Safari. We’ve started with pretty extensive research, contacted many different tour operators to compare their offers and we’ve decided to choose Habari, which turned out to be a great decision not only because their offer is one of the best available but also because the actual organisation of the adventure was almost perfect. Before the trip, the owner – Stan was quickly and precisely answering all our questions (which we had a lot). Payment process was seamless and safe. Unfortunately, our flight was delayed by many hours but that was not a problem for Habari. They were really flexible and well prepared. We felt taken care of from the pickup at the airport to the saying goodbye at the hotel.

Our Kilimanjaro guides (Mudi and Eli) were awesome – really experienced, knowledgeable, speaking good English and funny. Porters were doing their job really well everyday and even when there were small issues they quickly managed to find a solution to any problem. Food was great, and portions were huge so don’t be afraid that they will let you go with an empty stomach. We couldn’t imagine making it to the summit without you guys. It was an amazing adventure. Thank you!

The Safari trip was also superb. Our guide (who was a driver at the same time) – Living, took good care of us and showed us dozens if not hundreds of different species, was able to answer our questions regarding fauna and flora making it all really interesting and funny. We felt like we were in Discovery Channel Documentary when we were in these national parks. Food was great, adn a car was super comfortable for such a trip.

Overall, Habari Adventures is the perfect choice as they are passionate about what they are doing, they are (really) a local company so your money goes more directly to the right people, they are flexible and well organized at the same time, which for us (control freaks) was very important. If you have any doubts, I recommend to write to them directly and I check yourself 😊

During our holiday I and my wife had a trip to Tanzania. We climbed Kilimanjaro over 7-days Lemosho route, organized by Habari Adventure. We were recommended by our family friend, it was a memorable experience the team was supportive and helpful.

Their customer service was excellent. They went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable and had everything we needed. We also had our amazing guides Leon and Abdi, these people worked unbelievably hard to ensure our safety, comfort and helped us to accomplish summit.

Our chef Jimmy prepared us amazing food, every day we had 3 course meals and he exactly knew what our requirements were, the food was fresh, delicious and plentiful with variety every day. I have to give 10/10 to Jimmy for making great delicious meals.

The equipment provided to us was excellent, the weather kept on changing with a lot of rain along the course and at night. We had very nice equipment that kept us dry throughout the climb.

Porters were most amazing bunch of happy, friendly and get the job done without complaining. They always make sure that our camp was set up before we arrived and they greeted us with smiles and support we needed.

I have total confidence that this local company can handle Kilimanjaro hiking comfortably through offering good services. I highly recommend Habari Adventure to anyone who is seeking for a memorable experience.

After a lot of research we selected Habari Adventure for our Mount Kilimanjaro trip and 4 day safari since they go extra miles in providing their services in terms of their professionalism, they did not disappoint.
Stan was an excellent first point of contact, replying fast with care and respond to my many questions.

When we arrived at the airport we were collected by our smiling driver, Innocent ready to take us to the hotel. From the time we arrived we were looked after incomparably.

Absolutely everything about both parts of our adventure was perfect, thanks to Habari Adventure, Our Kili guides Evance and Tonny were professional, friendly and did everything so as to ensure our success in climbing.

Summit night was tough, but fabulous guides watched us carefully and helped us when we needed help. As the result of their care we all summited. Of course we couldn’t have done it without the fantastic support team of camp manager, chefs who managed to produce amazing meals, waiters, toilet porters who carried every single thing up the mountain and ensured the camp was ready for us each day.

We also had a wonderful 4 day safari with the very knowledgeable, professional and friendly guide and driver Hillary, who taught us as much about Tanzania as he did about the wildlife. We saw scores of animals, and much closer to our Toyota Land Cruiser than I had imagined.

So, we have no hesitation in recommending Habari Adventure for your trekking adventure, they were fantastic. I am proud to give this company my highest recommendation.

We booked two adventures with Habari but Safari deserves a separate review. We booked a three day camping safari (Park Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara).
We have been picked up by our guide/driver Hillary from our hotel. We had a Safari jeep all to ourselves which was a very nice surprise.
Hillary was very professional and knowledgeable. Spending three days in his company was truly a great pleasure. Our priority was to see a lion being on the safari before (different park with different company) we have been unlucky to see any.
Hillary delivered beyond the expectations. Not only we saw lions but all big five :-)
We couldn't have been more happy.
For three nights we stayed in the Heaven nature campsite. The campsite is basic but has everything you need. Izrael was making sure we were happy and looked after. Delicious food and a very friendly atmosphere.
As always Habari delivered a perfectly organised adventure. We didn't manage to go to Serengeti so we will be booking that with Habari again and hopefully we will have more laughs with Hillary.

I participated in the 7 day Lemosho route Kilimanjaro trek with Habari Adventures in August 2024 with Joseph, Mbeni and team. I was absolutely blown away by the attention and service provided by Habari.

Without the help of the guides, porters, chefs etc. our group would not have been able to make it to the summit together. Our experience was out of this world and the Habari team went ABOVE and beyond to make sure we all had the most incredible week. The porters are superhuman and always working with smiles on their faces. The tents were perfect. The food was spectacular (shout out to chef Thomas!). The vibes were impeccable!

The care, attention and hospitality provided by the team was absolutely amazing and made us all feel incredibly spoilt! Not only did they make us all feel safe and looked after at all times - they helped with our morale and made sure we were always smiling and laughing together.

I would highly recommend Habari Adventures if you are looking to climb Kilimanjaro to make sure you have the most unforgettable experience of true Tanzanian spirit 🫶🏽

Habari team, never lose!!!

Dear Rafiki, Thank you so much for this incredible review! We’re thrilled to hear that your 7-day Lemosho trek with Joseph, Mbeni, and the entire team was an experience ‘out of this world.’ It’s heartwarming to know that every member of our team, from the porters to Chef Thomas, went above and beyond to make your journey so special. We’re especially glad that the care, hospitality, and joyful spirit of the crew made you feel safe, supported, and always in good spirits—even on the toughest days. The smiles, laughter, and unforgettable moments are exactly what we hope to create for every climber, and it means so much to know that our team achieved that for you. Thank you for recommending Habari Adventures and for sharing the true Tanzanian spirit with us. We’d be honored to welcome you back for more adventures! Best Regards, Anna.

It was a magical experience for us, and a huge part of it was thanks to Habari team! It wasn't only a hike to the top of Kilimanjaro, it was experiencing the whole culture of the mountain and people. I am super happy we chose Habari also because it's a local company that cares about local people, and being there I could see how important that is.

Each member of the team was very carrying, helpful, and always smiling, sharing positive energy. I think I never experienced such care before! The amount of work and heart they put into making our experience great is just unbelievable! It was beautiful to be able to sing together, learn about the culture, and learn a few words in Swahili! :)

The organization was flawless, each day when we arrived to the camp our tents, toilets etc. were already set up for us, thanks to the porters who were walking faster to find the best spots and prepare everything for us. The tents and sleeping mats were comfortable, and very good quality. We also rented some equipment. The day before the hike started, we were checking our gear with the guides, and we could rent anything that was missing. The food was really delicious each day, especially the soups. We even had pizza one day! We are vegetarians and that was accommodated very well, we had proper meals each day. We had health checks each morning, and evening. But also during the hikes our guides cared if we feel okay, need a break etc.

We summited successfully! Our guides and porters were extremely supportive during the summit night. They helped us to carry our backpacks and were motivating us during the energy crisis. :)

If I do this again, which I'd love to, I will go with Habari again 100%!

Asante sana Habari familia! :)

I contacted several local tour operators for this trek because I wanted to do a more quiet and thorough route and not the shortest or fastest one. Stanley at Habari proved a great flexibility in understanding my desire and adjusting the tour to match it, and his organizing the whole journey was excellent. Communication was prompt and everything was arranged in the best way possible, from transport to the food on the mountain or camping equipment used. The guide was knowledgeable and always there to check if everything was fine and to describe the coming day's route. And at the end of the trip, when I had an issue to sort out, Stanley once again was there with all openness to help with all that he could. I recommend Habari Adventures for the Kilimanjaro tours they have, and hope to return and join one of their other national park tours.
