We had an excellent time attending the Maasai village. We learned a tremendous amount about the culture. The hotsprings were also an incredible experience. The water is crystal clear and deep enough to jump from nearby trees (its more of a fun swimming hole than a relaxing hot spring). Definitely recommend! *disclaimer* The Maasai people will try to sell you trinkets they've made at the end. It's not a hard sale, but good to know. They jack the prices way up too, but it helps their community tremendously. The Hot Springs are not hot. They're Luke Warm at best, but some parts slightly chilly. If you stop moving, tiny little fishies nimble at your toes. It tickles a bit. There is also a rope swing there, which is very fun to use.

Good tour of Kilimanjaro region: waterfall and coffee plantation. We even added a visit to Arusha hotspring at the end of the day. Staff was flexible and helpful from the first moment of contact. Alfred and his team were working with us to provide the best experience while still respecting and listing to our schedule and wishes. The coffee tour was a great addition to the walk to the waterfall. The local lunch provided was more then we needed. During the drive to Kilimanjaro region Alfred was explaining us the region and provided some background on what we saw. This tour through this company I would recommend.

I had one day prior to joining my Kilimanjaro group to explore the local area so decided on the waterfalls and coffee tour. I got promptly collected by a driver from my hotel who took me to Materuni village; he spoke great English and gave me information en route. On arrival at materuni, I met a local guide who took me to the waterfall, which was about an hour hike. Beautiful scenery and the guide was amazing! After the hike, I got to make coffee with the locals and enjoy a traditional lunch at one of the village houses - highly recommend!!

I was collected at home by Damii, the friendly driver, who also collected a group of American tourists at their hotel. He was very friendly and during our way to the coffee plantation in Materuni, he explained us where we could buy souvenirs and tanzanite in Arusha, tips for bargaining and he also showed us great views of Mt Meru and Kilimanjaro, how to arrive to a Maasai village or where we could find the hotsprings. He was a perfect driver! The coffee experience in Materuni was very enjoyable. They showed us the process of obtaining Arábiga coffee from the plant until the cup is served. And the trip to the waterfall was amazing. It is a lovely walk of 5,5km go and return. I was walking with an orthopedic boot as I broke my foot and either Damii, the driver, or Oscar, the guide who showed us the lovely waterfall, helped me in the difficult points. I highly recommend this adventure!!
