Very amazing waterfalls in moshi.Very wonderful views,Great day with lots of fun.Very enjoyable place.everyone in moshi must visit.i can advice to visit after kili trekking with Tanzania Escapade,The best locals in kilimanjaro region.

Gorgeous waterfall at the end of a forest hike. The hike is about an hour each way on old dirt roads leading to forest trails. Lots of birds and chameleons. A great stop and leg-stretcher.

Amazing waterfalls. I had a good day to visit the waterfalls , coffee tour and get a delicious local foods . Thanks to this local company Juhudi Expedition for arrange this trip with affordable price . Is found on what-sap for easy chat +255769906910. Highly recommend to everyone.

We had a very amazing time in materuni waterfalls with @TANZANIA ESCAPADE.The locals are very friendly and always wearing a bright smile on their faces.
we realy enjoyed the delicous lunch.The nature in materuni is something not to miss.

Awesome waterfalls – – definitely worth the visit. I would suggest doing this trip the day after you arrive and before you start your safari. A great way to cure Jetlag the scenery is awesome and the waterfall is worth a visit – – definitely take your swimsuit so you can go for a swim. There are vendors along the way that sell drinks as well as various pieces of art and reasonably priced try and organize a Coffee tour as well – – also worth the time

After visiting kikuletwa hotspring we added materuni waterfalls in our list the following day.we did several activities with michael +255 745 960 057
*walking to the waterfalls

*Banana local beer
*The chagga tribe cultural

I’m in Moshi for 3 days would like to know where to get a cheaper public transport to Materumi Falls and Chamke hot springs not having to use the hotel organized private taxis as they are a bit pricey for me, Jessica

hi just go to the bus stage in moshi town ,ask for the matatu that goes to materuni ,it costs Tsh 2000 or less and stops directly at materuni offices where you pay for your trip. The trip costs 10000Tsh but a guide will request for an extra fee, also visiting the coffee farm tour comes at an extra cost. The bus to chamka springs is also found at the same stage but it doesn't go to the springs ,it costs 1000tsh to kichwa ngombe then from there you have to take a bajaj ,its a long distance so the bajaj will have to wait for you until you finish and take you back to kichwa ngombe ,you pay at the end of the trip .You can look for people in your hotel to tag along, I did that with my hostel mates

My sister and I are taking a day trip to the Moshi/Kilimanjaro area in February (we are in Tanzania for a very brief time). I have a few questions:
1) Do we have to go with a formal guide to see the falls? We won't arrive in Moshi until about 12pm and most sites I see say their tours begin at 9AM. Can we do a self-guided hike to the falls, or must we go with an organization?
2) How far is Moshi/the falls from Kilimanjaro? Are there any good places we should go within the area to get good views of the mountain? We don't have enough time to climb this time around, but I would love to see it.
