Hell's Gate National Park is located approximately 90 Kms from Nairobi. The park is very scenic with diverse attractions and loads of wildlife - mainly herbivores, there may be a few silver backed jackals and spotted hyenas in the park, but I've never encountered them on my numerous trips into the park. The park is a great place for aspiring... More

As everyone says, this place is beautiful, surprising, and challenging. A couple of tips: don't bring elderly people or babies here if you want to actually hike into the gorge. I think other reviewers undersell how physically challenging this can be for some people. This is even more true if you choose to bike all the way in and then... More

This was a new experience in Kenya. we have been to Masai Mara several times as well as Lake Naivasha but going here was unique where animals are spotted roaming around freely. the most interesting part was going into the Gorge- the guide John was very good- one needs good shoes as it can be slippery and climbing uphill or... Great Experience and Amazing Place for Nature Lover. One-Day Trip from Nairobi. You can ride a Bike or Drive in between Zebras, Buffaloes, Baboons, gazelles and antelopes and watch them in their natural Habitat. Excellent choice for a one-day trip from Nairobi.

Amazing place! Took a bicycle near Elsa Gate before entering the NP (1,000 KES/10$), spent 5 hours riding, hiking, climbing, exploring gorge, etc. So beautiful. Lots of wildlife: zebras, warthogs, buffalos, snakes...also if you're lucky (or not)) there is a chance to spot a leopard.

Great experience! Excellent choice for a one-day trip from Nairobi. Different kind of experience when you can get out of the car and enjoy the park by bike and/or on foot.

This is the only national park in Kenya where you can cycling. Along the way you can get so close to the animals, until you reach the place for a hike. The hike is definitely not a easy one, especially for a non-hiker like myself, but it worth the effort. The scenery is simply amazing! Highly recommended.
