Crescent Island Game Park is located on Lake Naivasha, Kenya in the Great Rift Valley. It is one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya. Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake, about 95 km north of Nairobi. Its close proximity to Nairobi and easy access, have made it a hugely attractive place for weekend getaway. We took a boat... More

Went for a Sunday chill out walk with the beasties, its great to see how the animals migrate around the island from different visits, you can get a guide but its better and you can get closer by taking yourself around, nothing there will eat you, however a few of the animals have horns so you need to be careful,... Came here with our family, and spent a full 1 hour walking around the island, watching the wild animals in their own habitat. We found it a pleasure to be able to walk within meters of Giraffe, water bucks, Zebra, Thompson Gazelles, and Fish Eagles to name a few. Come with sun tan lotion and water.

$30.00 to go into a place with no more animals than the sanctuary that you go through to get there, and that only charged 300/- to enter. In the immortal word from 'The Castle'... tell 'em they're dreaming.\

My wife and i have been to Crescent Island on several occasions, by ourselves or with visitors. It's always a joy to visit with Mrs Linda before the walk. The "island" offers a good stretch of the legs with the beauty of Yellow Bark Acacia trees as well as an abundance of wildlife. Zebras, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Impala, Thompson Gazelle, Grants... More

Family with 2 kids (11 + 7). We took the boot ride and crescent island walking safari. Saw many animals, hipos, giraffes, guns, water bucks, common zebra, impala... many birds including the bird eagle show where they throw a dead fish and the eagle flies in and scopes him up. We had great weather. Very relaxed walk

Beautiful island on Lake Naivasha, I was lucky enough to go and visit while on conference. Be prepared for a long but easy walk. Loads of zebras, wildebeest, various antelope but the highlight was the family of giraffes we were able to get quite close to. Amazing!

Its a very beautiful place with potential but the place gets worst every time i visit , the staff are not professional at all, one of the staff( male) kept on bad -mouthing the employer/owner. cresent island used to be an amazing experience where visitors could ride horses as they tour around the park. For the local tourist i can't... More

I would highly recommend visiting Crescent Island Game Park. However, ensure you bring enough water for the trip and that you are well covered. I would also recommend having a tour guide to show you around as it really makes the trip more special!
