We stopped there on a day trip up the East Coast from Luganville. The driver had warned us that due to the recent rains that maybe Matevulu would be muddy. He was right. We left and went to Nanda blue hole and it was unaffected...More

Worth knowing that there are 2 places marketing as the Matevulu Blue holes. The "big" one further upstream is completely dead, brown and dirty. Heavy rains will push this mud down stream. Nanda "Jackies" Blue hole is a safer bet.

This is an amazing waterhole with beautiful blue clear water. It's not flash, but is a great spot. I'm a bit older and enjoyed my swim, but younger people and kids were having a better time on the rope swings and snorkelling.

We are stopping in Champagne Bay on a Cruise Ship - docked from 8am-5pm. Can we visit the Blue Hole on the day from the port (we will be tendering in from the ship)? Do we hire a driver on the beach? What would be a suggestion for organising this little side-trip? Any help is much appreciated.

Better to go to Blue hole from Santo. When you get to Champagne Bay you will not want to go anywhere else for the day but there!!! 😎
