There is 4 miles of coastal blowholes which are spectacular and go for as far as the eye can see. It was like a domino procession of water spraying up into the air, synchronised as it moved down the coast and then started all over...More

The blow holes themselves are awesome and the sound they make amazing..was nice to see a friendly local selling stuff on a table (even if they were somewhat overpriced) what wasn't nice was saying hi to one of her kids and having them pull the...More

Best viewed on incoming/hi tide. The day we were there it was amazing. Large waves smashing into the reef shelf making the blow holes fire water meters into the air. The lady’s selling the souvenirs are lovely with no pressure to buy.

The blowholes were amazing! Apparently 5 kms of them. Sadly the tourist infrastructure is not there so we don’t know much about them except we spent quite a long time watching the waves crash on the rocks and the blowholes blow up...thoroughly recommended!

We could have stayed there for hours and watched the waves crashing and blowholes spouting. While we went to the main lookout as part of an island tour, the blowholes were located all along the coast line. On an overcast and windy day it was...More

Yes make this one of your must sees... you could watch it for ages.. as people have said best on high tide and even better on a wild weather day.

Place you need to see while you are in Tonga. The best is to hire a car and drive your car to the shore side.

A nice stop over on the island tour. Plenty of Tongan trinket sales on site. This is a good photo location if you have good timing or photo burst on your camera to catch the perfect water spout background.

I've seen single blowholes before, but these stretched on for miles! Blue sky, tide was in, and waves were really crashing. We actually drove down the coast road to another small beach to watch some more.

Best viewed on an incoming tide, and even better when there is a strong Southerly swell rolling in. These blowholes are a must-see while you are in Tonga. I think there has been enough information provided in the other reviews, but I will add 2...More

Such an awesome display of raw nature is on show here. Its better when the wind is up causing more spectacular crashing of the waves and the seawater being forced up through holes all along this coastline. So good we went back twice.

On the south west coast, relatively easy to find and plenty of parking. There is a large viewing platform, giving a view of a large part of the five kilometres of coastline where these blowholes display. Some of the plumes rise 15 metres into the...More
