After almost two days driving in this very special "dessert" surroundings in a 4x4 car we reached this spot, and it alone was worth the trip. Cold winds, and sand flying around made the experience even better. Just remember to bring hot clothes and a...More

Our second of three days was something rare for some of us, a very strong snowstorm at this time. It was supposed to be cold and blue sky, but the 'man' is managing to change the whole temperature of the planet. It was fantastic. These...More

We spent a week driving thru the salt flats and this place had spectacular rocks that when you studied them, their shapes made yu believe that they had been sculpted - in fact they had been - by the winds - a must see!

This tree-shaped rock was the first stop on the last day of our Uyuni to San Pedro tour. It is located in the Siloli desert and was shaped by erosion. The wind is very strong. A nice quick stop, but not much more.

I drive was very long to get to the Arbol de Piedra, but it was totally worth it! Only downside, the "bathroom" in this location is not the greatest, so maybe hold your bathroom needs in this spot.

The Arbil de Peidra was nice and it was fun to climb the big vulcano rocks. The mountains in the background were so beautiful.

The erosive rock shapes were interesting. It's worth a small stop on a long road trip on the salt flat.

This is where the Dakar Rally is now held and to see the formations of wind and sand blown rock is really extraordinary. It is certainly worth a trip to see but you might want to take your own food as there is not much...More

We stopped here as part of the salt flats tour but would not make a special trip otherwise. There are toilets here but absolutely disgusting so go behind a rock.
