Very unusual place with all these rusted trains in the desert. Great to spend an hour to take photos. The unusual forms, the rust and graffiti make it a great place for some spectacular photos.

This was one of the stops on our 3 day tour and it was so much fun to play and climb the old trains. Most tours go there first, departing uyuni at 10.30 am. If you can get there earlier you'd have the whole place to yourselves

The trains weren't overly amazing for me. I was on a salt flat tour with five others and we all thought it was just very windy and wanted to hope back in the jeep! I wouldn't take a trip out here on your own unless you are doing the salt flats.

I found this a bit disappointing. I did as final part of 4 day tour from Tupiza to Uyuni. I was lucky enough to visit an abandoned train on the tour which my 3 person group had to ourselves but this was absolutely packed so couldn't do much. I'd imagine it would be a lot better if you cam here... More

When we started the tour, I thought it was the classic touristic attraction... Well, it's but it's so much fun! And you are in this dusty corner of the world that it's magical! If you have time, go there early morning (around 9 am) before the tours start, to have clean and not overcrowded pics...

Although if you book onto a day tour from Uyuni to do the salt flats they will take you here as part of your trip. I would thoroughly recommend going here on your own time in the evening so that you can be there when it is quiet, you will enjoy t much much more and not feel rushed. If... More

To be honest i went as a part of a tour. But we were there at like 10.30am and there was to many people already. Get in early. Its a 5 min out of town drive or you could walk it if your keen. There is a place to buy ice cream if its hot too.
