About
We are a family winery and that defines our vitiviniculture. El Porvenir de Cafayate is the luxury of being able to think long-term. We believe in Cafayate, its potential, its people, its history and its culture. We feel a deep respect and love for our terroir and we want this to be reflected in our wines. We seek to become better and better each day, in search of an unprecedented, unique level of quality. We take the legacy of our ancestors and, following the entrepreneurial spirit, we add innovative ideas, seeking our own betterment.Cafayate is our terroir and the cradle of our labor, where we simply add the most important element: the family. In El Porvenir de Cafayate we have maintained a vision: to make exceptional wines in a sustainable manner. And with the passing of each harvest, we feel that this vision is realized more and more strongly, as we achieve honest, true wines that reflect their origin. We proudly represent the essence of Cafayate.

I knew El Porvenir wines before and the tasting experience did not disappoint. The staff were very hospitable, friendly and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about altitude wines and the Cafayate area. While I was initially focused on the Laborum Malbec and Cabernet, I was glad to learn about other red varietals suggested by the staff. I wish I planned in advance to include a tour and a meal experience. Definitely a place to come back and enjoy at leisure.

Bodega El Porvenir has a small quaint hotel just outside of town where we went for a private lunch parrilla style and wine tasting. It is such a beautiful and relaxing setting in their vineyards.
They prepared some awesome empanadas for us in the outdoor oven to start that we enjoyed with their Laborum Single Vineyard Torrontés white wine. This was followed by some grilled meats served with a nice tomato salad. With this course we had their Laborum Single Vineyard Malbec. Everything was excellent and such a wonderful way to spend a long relaxing lunch.

We arrived without reservation and joined the 10am tour with Pedro. He was very informative and enthusiastic and we had a very enjoyable hour. For $175 we had the 5 tasting tour and they were all delicious. We were particularly lucky to get one of the rarer ones as the wine master had been in the previous day and opened a bottle! We bought some to take home but sadly could not carry anymore.

We first enjoyed a wonderful lunch at their Bodega. The scenery was just amazing and beautiful! Food was great and kept on coming. Later in the afternoon we passed by there winery and we had a great tour from Pedro. He explained all about the history of the winery and the wine making process. We tasted some of the great wines made by El Porvenir. Thank you so much!

Cafayate is the center of Salta Province wine country. El porvenir is one of the leading wineries in town and produces a great selection of whites (Torrontes, Sauvingon Blanc, Blanc de Blancs) and reds (Malbec, Cabernet Suvignosm, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and several blends). The winery produces very good table wines and a higher level (and cost!) line of outsanding wines. Tasting at this winery was made very pleasnat because of the passion, knowledge and dedication of the person leading the tasting, Adriana.

I visited this bodega in August with my sons. It was a great experience.
Adriana was a great host. She was great to coordinate for the meeting, then her knowledge was impressive.
We tasted the Icon 2014 and it was Excellent. The Laborum Syrah 2014 was impressive as well. It is my preferred wine now when I invite friends home. We also tested the Laborum Torrontes "de otonio". This last one... you can't forget!
I recommend this place, i would go back anytime.

This may be the best bodega to visit in Cafayate. It is very centrally located 10min from the main Plaza on foot. Their Torrontes of the Laborum line has been mentiones as Argentina's best in both the Descorchados and the Spectator Austral review publications. Also the other wines get appraisal. Guided tours and tastings are well organized and fun. The Bodega also has a guesthouse/lodge. It is one of the best places to stay in Cafayate with great athmosphere. While it is located in the middle if the vineyards of El Retiro it is still easy walking distance to the Plaza.

Desperately wanted to visit and sample the goods here. Following several email requests for reservation (no reply) we simply tried our luck mid morning during our stay in cafayate. After almost having to break into the place, the person at the counter essentially turned us away saying nothing was available. Service was horrible and no explanation given. Zero management or customer service.

We had a very informative tour of the winery, followed by a wonderful wine tasting. We were able to taste wines from several of their different labels, and a variety of grapes. Our favorites were the Laboradum Malbec and the Tannat. We also enjoyed the Chardonnay-Semillon and the Malbec-Cab Franc. Would highly recommend stopping by!

At the winery you could choose between a tasting of 3 wines at $50 pesos and a tasting of 5 wines at $80 pesos. In addition to the visit and tasting at the winery, we offer the possibility to have lunch (and you could learn how to make empanadas before lunch) or a picnic in the vineyards.
The cost of lunch per person is $350 and the cost of the picnic $275. Everything is rated in argentina pesos and the lunch includes wines, dessert and coffee. Let us know if you would like to book a visit. Thanks for your interest!!
