We were walking around town and bumped into the museum, not really expecting much. We ere pleasantly surprised. It gives a really good history of the region with sophisticated multi media presentations. Worth the visit

Certainly one of the best Wine Museums I have had the good fortune to view. Indeed this was our second visit in 4 years. A BUCKET LIST location if you like wine. Kudos to the designer. There is a small fee to enter ..Foreign seniors no discount this time. Allow yourself at least 30+ minutes to view the exhibits in each section. The first gives one of the most comprehensive informative presentation on the various characteristic that makes this a world class wine growing area. The second part take you on another visual and verbal ( written Spanish and English ) tour of the early history of various vineyards and the processes. A Must Visit in Cafayate... and just a few minutes walk down from the main Plaza.

Very interesting museum and bigger than I expected. There are two parts, one with mostly written texts in both Spanish and English and a part of exhibits and video material, most of it also English. First part was very educational, teaching about wines in general and the local specifics.

We ended with a tasting where you can try two wines, that you can choose yourself among a fixed set of 5, or whatever is open. The glasses were poured generously. The local staff was very friendly, also when one of the wines was bad, I received another one for free.

Very interesting tour, for a good price (100 pesos). The first room is a bit repetitive, and kind of a tribute to nature’s blessing to the region of Cafayate. The second room is very informative about the process of producing the wine.

Opened in 2018 this is an excellent museum if you are interested in how and why they make wine in Cafayate and the surrounding area. Well worth a visit, whether you know nothing about wines or even if you are very knowledgeable.

We thought this was great value for $100 pp . All signs in English and although very poetic a really good display and lots of information very well laid out.
