The place, the view, everything is magnificent, nothing to complain about.
Unlike the other rather negative opinions, I will tone it down because in fact given the enthusiasm the activity is intense at the place for the staff. Of course, the value for money is not up to par with the place but you do it once and that's it, we take the photos, post a story and finished lol. In short, if you came to Tunisia telling yourself that you want to pay less than at home as if it were the third world, then don't consume. For the rest, the almond tea, the juices were good, the welcome was good.

Beautifully located. it is the place of happening. This is where we first got introduced to Chai B'louz - (Tea with blanched almonds and mint). Its an open air caffe overlooking the azure blue sea.

Even though crowded but because its open air, one doesn't feel claustrophobic. Infact, one can relax here.

Café des Délices (or Café de Sidi Chaabane) was opened in 1960 and for almost 60 years has been the most famous cafe in Sidi Bou Said. It's the most famous for its panoramic views over the Gulf of Tunisia and it's prices significantly exceeding the prices of its competitors. Should we make extra payments for the view?

Cafe in a great location overlooking the harbour. We were not offered a menu, but we only wanted 2 white coffees. They came along with a plate of small cakes which we hadn't ordered but we assumed came along with the coffee. We expected it to be dearer than a normal cafe because of the location so we thought maybe 20 dinars, but we were shocked when we were charged 48 dinars! Other customers were also shocked as they got their bill but the staff were obviously used to this type of rip-off, and insisted we pay. Disgusting toilet, horrible abuse of tourists. Avoid this cafe.

They sat me far away from any good view, food selection is poor & worst of all: the waiter scammed me. He said my meal (which was a pizza, juice & small bottle water) was 80 Dinar plus I’d have to give him a tip. I gave him 100 dinar because I had no coins. I don’t speak French or Arabic so I didn’t really understand what he was saying & he knew that. I would not go here again.

Rude and condescending waiters, very overpriced without any quality.
i asked for the menu so then the waiter instead started selling me stuff on the fly so that i can buy something very fast without thinking or knowing about the prices.
A scam of a place! avoid at any cost!

Scam on all floors...No map visible, neither before nor after (unfortunately)
For an acidic fruit juice, a green tea with almonds, 4 miniatures in a small plate...59 DT! That is more than double the Café des Nattes located 100M.
The view is not worth the price.

Went there with locals and even though the waiters try to cheat the customers with serving for example tea with pine seeds and other stuff, which is more expensive, instead of normal tea and as well totally unfriendly, because they know that the Café is a well known tourist spot. Would not go there again.

In this cafe you can enjoy one of the best views of Sidi Bousaid. Go there to take pictures but do not stay for any consumption. It's ridiculously expensive for what it offers. The service is poor and a glimpse at the kitchen will chock you forever.
