Well worth the drive. Very interesting to see the pedestrian bridge (or what is left of it) and the information on it. We hope that it will be restored some day.

A lovely drive with great scenery. Probably good for a picnic but too windy when we went there. Lovely views of flamingos and other birdlife

The walk up the steps to the monument was just ok, but I found the entire area to be extremely interesting. The light house is pretty, and there are very photogenic flamingoes on the drive up.

The roads are generally in good condition. Views and scenery are stunning. There have been a lot of complaints about the walkway to the cross having been demolished by waves, but walking round on the rocks to the steps up to the cross is no...More

This is interesting spot. Crossing from the parking lot to the cross is a bit difficult, as the bridge needs rebuilding. Standing at the cross one comes to a better understanding of how difficult it must have been for the early explores to have come...More

Gives you an idea of how rough the ocean is and what the early explorers had to deal with. You have to cross a swamp to climb to the cross, but it’s doable if you wear good shoes and don’t mind the risk of getting...More
