We went in the dry season so it takes longer to get there as the river is low. You have to walk part of the way so the boats can be pulled upstream over the rocks. We had to leave at 4:30 am to make the journey in one day. Due to airline issues our flight had been cancelled going... More

I stayed at Jungle Rudy's with my family and visited Angel Falls. The trip by homemade canoe was superb. We topped off at 2 other falls on route which really made the trip special. We took the overnight option which was a very basic but enjoyable camp across the river from the falls. Dinner was excellent and all of the... More

Went here back in 1983, plane ride from Maracaibo took a few hours, they fly the plane into the canyon by angel falls, 3 times..seemed liked the wing was going to clip the walls . Stunning . U land at the park on a small asphalt runway. Tractors come out of the jungle to give u a ride to your... More

The trip to Angel Falls for me and my wife was arranged as an all inclusive package from Caracas and back by Cacao Travel. Our journey began on January 9th with a 6:30 am flight from Caracas to Puerto Ordaz and onward to Canaima on a 9:00 am Transmandu flight. On January 10th, we left the boat dock at 11:00... More

Is it a dream land, where every step in the way you are in awe? Yes! But, your chances of making it even more memorable require a bit of planning. The best times to go are September (during the brief lull in the rainy season), or December. Going during the rainy season may leave you with an obstructed view, or... More

First word of warning, don't buy a trip outside the country. Trips are expensive when purchased at the official exchange rate. You can save thousands by purchasing a tour in Caracus. All the tours are identical, same itinerary the only difference is the price. We paid a lot for the three day tour $250 per person, others paid 1/2 that.... More

This was one of my most rewarding trips. Having only read about Angel Falls & Canaima when finally making it to the National Park I was totally blown away. Then the trip by canoe to the base of the falls was the best trip of my life.

We were nervous about the trip from having read other reviews yet for us, it was a huge and fun adventure...."Romancing the Stone"-like. The two flights are a little scenic and arriving is thrilling. We LOVED Tepuy Lodge, very charming, artistic and comfortable. The trip to Sapo Falls is not to be missed...squeals and giggles all the way. The 4... More
