Quinta De Anauco was built in the Colonial era and has been preserved and maintained very well by the city. The house has all the original furniture, gives a good insight to life at that time, with the kitchenware, dining table, bedding, bed, rugs, lamps, and furniture. The tour guide is normally english and spanish speaking.

The quinta Anauco is a well preserved colonial house, with all the furniture and a fantastic kitchen. On sundays, there are beautiful small concerts by excellent musicians. The gardens are very large and very pretty. There is only one big problem: security. Quinta Anauco is in a very mixed neighbourhood. With such big gardens it is very difficult to avoid... More

The old house is in very decent conditions, hosts a large collection of everyday artifacts : kitchenware, dining tables, beds, lamps, clothing, paintings etc. in their original setting in this early 1900th century house. Is near Clinicas Caracas, a famous hospital. Public transportation in buses from metro station and general buses. Has parking, ( almost ) free admission. A shanty... More

it is a real colonial era house. It is very interesting, when you request it you can have an english speaking guide. When visiting the quinta anauco you can have an idea of how was the way of living in the colonial era

Went on a tour from a cruise ship, the result - too many visitors going round a very cramped house. Made it a long drawn out visit with too much waiting around. In December the grounds were not particularly interesting. For me it was the least interesting place in our Caracas tour.

We were visiting Caracas, Venezuela for one day on a private tour, and added a visit to the Museum of Colonial Art at the last moment. It was one of the highlights of the tour, as the colonial house and gardens are lovely, and very picturesque for photography. By the way, we heard many warnings about Caracas, but I felt... More

Why this? A well balanced blend of local colonial time history plus lush tropical gardens encapsulated in quiet space amid a pretty noisy and not so safe neighbourhood. Worth venture it. Compulsory guided visit with some chance of finding a bilingual guide .

Not at all sure why others have complained in Spanish and in English that the environs are super dangerous. Please do not let this deter you. Caracas is a madhouse, yet this place is superb. I did the guided tour in Spanish with Ambar, who was fantastic. There were three of us in our group: me, the driver and a... More

An oasis in Caracas, perfectly restored historic house, with a beautiful collection of paintings, sculptures and every day objects from the Colonial times. A great taste of traditional Caracas

It has a museum, and the house and grounds are well kept . Unfortunately there is a slum area just next to it making the entrance a bit dodgy and dangerous and drawing out any pleasure in going there. On occasion they hold classical chamber music concerts on sunday mornings. do not visit on a busy weekday, saturday or sundays... More
