I stopped here on a perfect fall afternoon as I was headed north on I-49 back to KC. It is a short drive off the interstate, but certainly worth it. As with all national parks the staff were very helpful and gave me good advice...More

My father is a Ruddick descedant from the family who owned land at this location. I have a very strong connection to this park. Well worth a trip.

Beautiful grounds and fun to see the canon fired, it's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Have a picnic and learn a little history.

Prior to visiting I don't recall hearing of this battle. There was a short informative movie plus exhibits in the visitors' center building. The park had a drive thru tour with 9 stops to get out and read information. There are also some hiking trails....More
