The national park is the whole island except the town. You need a ticket that you can buy at the airport for 30.000 pesos. (Ca. €45,- $50) if you pay in dollars it $60 so you pay 10 bucks more.

This is by far one the most incredible parks I have ever been to anywhere in the World. I would highly recommend renting a car and using the map for directions. The park fees are only $60 USD and will be good for the duration of your stay. All the sites are as incredible and unique as anything else out... More

Most of Easter Island or Rapa Nui as the locals call it, is a national park. Once you get off the plane at the airport there is a little desk selling tickets, which are $60usd each or 30,000 pesos. They do not take credit card. Keep this pass with you at all times as you could be stopped and asked... More

If you manage to get to Chile pay the extra to visit this awesome place, you will not be disappointed. Marvel and wonder at how they moved these ancient monoliths?

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing these moai statues. However, I was disappointed that there were so many broken ones. Still, it's definitely worth seeing. It's probably the best collection in the world.

This is the most breathtaking of all the ahu sites. The crater lake and moai-studded slopes of Rano Raraku are a vision to behold. It was here, long before the arrival of Europeans that Rapa Nui carvers crafted these moais, some of them forever stopped in the middle of their creation. Take the time to explore all the CONAF trails... More

The park comes with a hefty fee, but it's all part of the magic of the island. Buy your park pass at the airport, or at the park on weekdays. Once you proceed to the entrance, make sure you have your passport for a stamp! If you forgot, like I did, you can get a stamp at the post office.... More

It is hard to describe with words, you just have to see it yourself. Best option is to buy the tickets for the Nationalpark at the Airport just after arriving. So you can start right away to explore the wonders of Rapa Nui. I do recomend 5 days for Rapa Nui and you should not only see the sites accessible... More

We went in July, and it was beautiful. There's all sorts of things to do from seeing the Moai, to exploring caves, to snorkeling and boating, hiking, ATVing, biking... You need at least two days, if not three, to really see everything. We were there for 3.5 days, and I wish we had a few more.

This is the place to see Moai, just getting here will lead you through the quarries where some Moai remain, around the corner from Anakeena beach
