Photos really can't capture the magnitude of seeing the Moai at this site. The ocean provides a beautiful backdrop to the tons of carved stone lined up. I shot photographs from several different points at this site, hoping to capture the feeling I had while...More

Amazing site to see the 15 Moai all lined up on top of the platform. Apparently destroyed by tsunami in 1960's and now fully restored as best they could. Great attraction and highly recommened.

15 huge moai, next to a dramatic coastline, visible from miles away (we first spotted them from the quarry) and huge up close. Probably best visited in the afternoon when the sunlight will be on their faces for better photos.

The 15 restored moais representing the 15 tribes located on a picturesque coastline are a must see when visiting Isla de Pascua.

We were there last month (3/2015). They drive on the right side of the road. I saw a car rental place right in town but don't know what they cost. If I were you, I'd take a small group or private tour. The tour guides have... More
