Anakena Beach on Easter island Chile is one of the nicest beaches I have been too. Easy access lots of palm trees for shade, clear water. Nice way to relax and unwind after seeing the statues!

Having lived in Hawaii I am picky about beaches, this one was really a lovely way to spend a day after a lot of touring on the island. Tall palms line the beach with easy access to water good for young and old. There are a few statues nearby to remind you where you are and a nice grouping of... More

This beach is too beautiful for you to be shuffled off by a tour group, you should drive here yourself and spend a relaxing day at the beach, it's easy. I rented a car for appox. 34,000 CLP per day from the owner of our cabin and drove around myself. Just follow Camino Vaitea Anakena road all the way to... More

Had a wonderful time here with my family (children ages seven and two). Perfect for swimming, uncommercialised and a beautiful sandy beach. And with Moai as a back drop, what could be more perfect? There are palm trees near the beach where you can set up and have some shade. The restaurant 'huts' at the top serve the best ceviche... More

The principal beach of the island with a nice, albeit smaller, Ahu and 5 moai. The beach is horseshoe shaped, modest in size, and very gradual as it goes into the ocean. It was a trifle chilly, but perfect after 5 minutes. There are some restaurants here, but they are pricey ($20 a meal more or less), but the food... More

This beach is simply stunning! The white sand is gorgeous and the water is great. It is great to be there enjoying the water and then when you turn around you have a nice view of the Moai. The restaurants there a quite pricey, but then again so is all of Easter Island...

This is the only real beach on the island. White sand, warm water. Moai overlooking it all. Overall, just an amazing experience.

The local folks carved this nice stretch of land, and made a beach so you can enjoy and be in the water that surrounds this beautiful island. There isn't much for services, my friend and I rented bikes in Hanga Roa and rode out as we peddled around the island. Enjoy it for what it is: beautiful water, a spectacular... More

Good for refreshments. Domestic animals are wandering around you while drinking the juice. To rest take a shadow of the big palm trees.

This is a beautiful cove and you can imagine early settlers arriving here from far away islands. There are a few restaurants but please be aware, they are cash only.
