Stunning views, especially when the skies are clear. The vastness and the beauty are unforgettable. Can't take a bad photo.

Beautiful scenery along this route. We took the 8am shuttle to El Pilar from our Hostel. About a 30 minute bus ride to the north end of El Chaltén. We started our trek and you have a gradual climb. There were quite a few other...More

We went ourselves from El Pilar and really enjoyed the walk, with views of the glacier that you don't get on the walk from El Chalten. We definitely felt like a guide was unnecessary. Cerro fitz Roy itself was absolutely stunning, even without ideal weather...More

We had a guide for the day (Matias Sueldo) and he was amazing. Very professional. And what a day. We went up to Lago Capri, the mirador and a waterfall. It's about 12km/8 miles, but so worth it. The views, the magnificence of the landscape....More

Shuttled from El Chalten to start walking at Hosteria El Pilar, through woodland and then up to the best views. We had a clear day and it was magnificent. Demanding hike up to the top but worth it. Strong walkers will do the 13 miles...More

Go the 'back' way - Thank you TA reporters for this GREAT tip. Yes, its a fantastic unmissable trek, that's a given. BUT taking the bus (or taxi) north to near Hosteria El Pilar (around 10 miles north) from El Chalten along highway 23 and...More

This hike is incredible.. Possibly one of the best hikes we've ever been on. Amazing views, the trails are very well maintained. It's true that the last kilometer is almost all uphill. Going down from there was a little more challenging but well worth it....More

Hello. I would advise checking with your accommodation place as we walked the area from El Chalten. Otherwise I would go with the Andesmar group of companies, which run on time and do not leave people behind at the drop off... More
