Beautifully restored mansion set in awesome surroundings. House displayed amazing artistic flair and taste in decor and furnishings with very striking results. The house is a living breathing home, not an impersonal historic building. Paul, the owner and our guide, was charming, witty and informative. The tour of the house was leisurely, most informative and enjoyable. Some beautiful, original paintings... More

Was here in November and it was Christmas themed and it was so lovely!! Want to come return for Easter! The hotel through out is absolutely amazing! My favourite part of the tour was the room with a massive table full of presents that the people who live there wrapped them selves and bought for their family! Obsessed with all... More

Such personal dedication to style and authenticity contributes to the ultimate success of Abbey-Cwm-Hir Hall. A group visit during the pre-CHRISTMAS season was one of the true highlights of my year. I had never been able to visit before this but would recommend a visit here to any tourist and certainly all who live nearby. This was a real trip... More

The owners' passion and commitment to this massive project of restoration and now upkeep is tangibly all consuming, in a very positive sense. THey have done a great job, saving this beautiful and fascinating pile for the present and the man of the house gave us a most enjoyable tour.

A very interesting place to visit. We planned to visit for half an hour but stayed for two. Every room was filled with antiques and the most unusual collection of artefacts such as sewing machines, gloves ,hats, cars, royal dalton, billiard table and much more. Garden was also filled with other things as well. We had a tour by the owner. The only drawback... More

A friend and I visited the Hall at Abbey-Cwm-Hir prior to Christmas and we had a lovely time. The owner and guide, Paul, gave us such an interesting talk as we perambulated around in our slippers, Colours and themes were in abundance and after 50 rooms of spectacular objects, we were enthralled by the grandeur and the splendor of the... A wonderfully sweet and pleasant afternoon. Paul, the owner, showed us around as part of a small group. Nice man. He's got his patter all worked out and provides entertainment as well as explanations as he takes you around. You get your money's worth in time too. The house was still dressed for Christmas and the scale of effort and... More

This was our second visit in 2016 to this most unique property. Our first visit was with a group from our retirement club, and we enjoyed it so much that we decided to return with two friends to view the house with its Christmas decorations. On the first visit we were also able to stroll through the beautiful gardens with... More
