Dont get too excited about visiting a castle; apart from some walls overlooking the Teifi there is little left. What you get is a restored, and in places modernised, house containing the town museum and displays about Lord Rhys and the first eisteddfod. Nice gardens...More

Visited Cardigan Castle primarily to meet friends for lunch. Good food and coffee, friendly efficient staff. We then proceeded to the castle itself. We entered through a gift shop which had some good quality items. Then on to the castle or house itself, which was...More

History of this castle & house was very interesting. Good gift shop, shame had restaurant in the grounds rather than a café which more people would visited & stayed longer.

Nice cafe with good food. Decent service and clean toilets. We didn't do the castle itself- we had done that last year and found it disappointing and not worth the money.

Friendly staff. Interesting exhibits. Some good video information giving story of the castle. Usual shop with typical gifts. Didn't visit the cafe but it looked OK.

I have been visiting Cardigan for over thirty years so when I first visited the castle was a mess - inaccessible with scaffolding holding up the walls. It is worth visiting Cardigan Castle to see how the buildings and grounds have been completely transformed and...More

Sorry, there is no parking within the castle, but there is one disabled bay on the hill outside. Other disabled bays are about 300 metres away along the high street. The castle grounds has slopes that would make wheelchair... More
