Overview
More
Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park is stunningly located on a scenic headland, overlooking the nature reserve of Cardigan Island, which is just 200 yards off-shore, so it can be clearly viewed from the park. Cardigan Island is home to thousands of nesting sea-birds, so access has to be restricted. A colony of Atlantic grey seals breed in the many caves below the farm park cliffs and can be seen virtually every day. Cardigan Bay's bottlenose dolphins are frequent visitors to the waters surrounding the park, particularly during calm weather, when they swim closer to the shore. They can be viewed clearly from the park. There are a variety of friendly farm animals for visitors to view and feed, including pigs, sheep, goats, rare breed cattle, ponies, chickens, and Dilwyn the donkey. There is also Llinos the Llama and Bruce the Emu from far-off lands. The Visitor Centre features a lovely cafe serving meals and drinks, with a focus on Welsh-sourced ingredients, which can be enjoyed either indoors or on the large patio to make the most of the glorious scenery. There is an out-door adventure playground and sand-pit for children to enjoy as well as some indoor games, and a well-stocked gift shop. Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park is open daily from 1st April 2017 until the 4th November 2017.

We spent a great afternoon here. Great value for money with a good cafe. Our little boy loved feeding the animals and it wasn't too far down to the coast where we saw some seals.

There is disabled access and will depend on disability. There is quite a distance to walk and some surfaces may be hard for wheelchairs to manoeuvre over.
