This once a month village Farmer’s Market offers a wide variety of local veg, meats, and pastries. A couple gift stalls were also at this month’s event. I enjoyed drinking a coffee while walking through the market. It’s located right In Kelso’s square and ran from 9:30am to about 2pm. It was a lot of fun and an event I would recommend for a Saturday morning activity.

Talbot Owners Weekend Meet - Scotland. Site was large with about 12 eletric hook-up. Toilets & showers decent. A room was made available for get-together. Because of a lot of rain the pitches were very boggy but a good time was had by all. Visited Smailholm Pele Tower - very impressive. Kath & John Fenwick

Kelso Farmers Market, what a feeble affair with a handful of stalls- I was expecting from its title ‘Farmers’ a variety of local produce on display but unfortunately this was not the case. 10 minutes browsing and we were done. Whoever runs the show, needs to go abroad and see how it’s really done.
Don’t think the karaoke act in the background was necessary. Excruciating !!

Mixture of stalls selling a variety of food stuffs, drinks and crafts. There's a regular cake lady whose cakes, traybakes and brownies are lovely. However her scones are the best. Advertised regular online.

First time going after being told about it by a few friends. Was a good selection of local produce. Picked up some new herbs and some Pigeon breasts and will be going back...

Have been to the famous Kelso Farmers Market twice now, and I have to say I'm impressed with not only the spectrum of produce and items on sale, but also the quality of the same-said produce and items. As is mentioned in the previous review, there exists a whole lot of things to buy and choose from: meat, game, breads, sweets, cheeses, jams and preserves etc. I won't needlessly reiterate what has already been said, but I would strongly encourage you to go. After all, Kelso is reputedly the only town in Scotland which has such a wide-open Market-Square like it does, and the similarly unique Kelso Farmers Market is situated within the very heart of it!!!

This is one of the best Farmers Markets around. It's normally on the fourth Saturday of the month but check Facebook page for any alterations. It's a really friendly market, lot of free samples to try. Wide variety of quality goods, excellent meat and game. Breads, sweets, plants, flowers, honey, jams and preserves, cheeses, knitting, a bit of all sorts. The meat is excellent. Tried a local honey supplier from Sprouston, it's just outside Kelso, brilliant. The plants are very good and reasonable priced. Good quality flowers. Yes some of the goods are expensive but it's real quality stuff. Much better than Edinburgh Markets.
