We had a fantastic time on our half-day photography safari. Karl's sense of humour and his vast knowledge, both of the area and photography, made this a great morning. I learned things about my camera and landscaping a photograph that really will make a difference taking landscape photographs going forward. Thank you Karl!

Went on a whole day with Karl dodging the showers, with my wife. His knowledge and easy manner put us both at ease. I learnt so much more about how my camera works. I have played with getting away from the auto settings up till now but now I don't think they will ever be used again. His emphasis on... More

Just back from a one to one safari with Karl, a birthday gift from my intended. Like many reviewers I am trying to get off automatic and get grips with aperture shutter and ISO settings instead. Karl showed me how best to take landscapes and close ups of flowers plus what I really wanted, how to obtain that misty milky... More

Karl Griffin's experience, knowledge of the area, friendliness, and solid teaching technique made my one-on-one session (an in-the-field class) both helpful and enjoyable, I learned much — and my photos prove it!

Just done a weekend landscape photography course with Karl of GlenCoe Photography at the Loch Ossian Youth Hostel and have to say it was brilliant. Karls knowledge, teaching style and personality meant I learned a terrific amount in the two days and it was really enjoyable. If you want to take better pictures and see some wonderful parts of Scotland... More

My one to one photography lesson was a generous gift from my staff. On the day 10cm of rain fell in Glencoe but Karl's enthusiasm and engaging manner made an excellent experience against all odds. I managed to get some terrific shots with Karl's guidance (and editing tips). Do it!

Great advice on not just the technical aspects of photography, but also the artistic and compositional parts. Very friendly and helpful - guiding rather than telling, very enjoyable. You couldn't ask for more if you want some help with your photography. I went away with some ace shots I'm very proud of. So, you get a nice souvenir and some... More

3hours with Karl showing me how to use my new Canon was a birthday present. I have spent quite a lot of time in Glen Coe and probably as much time taking very average pictures. My main aim was to get off the auto setting and take photographs myself instead of letting Canon decide what was best. It was cold... More
