This is quite a small museum but to anyone interested in photography it is fascinating to learn how the technology developed. Upstairs, there is currently an exhibition of photographs of 100 women, incredibly good photos that are impressive in themselves.

Such a beautiful village and a great NT treasure! Parking is free for NT members and plenty of it, with a short walk to the Museum. We spent a fair few hours here and also enjoyed the NT cafe (bonus being dog friendly)!

I think the highlight is the association of the abbey with the world's first negative, and the history of who could claim the first one

Small but interesting exhibition, particularly if like me you come from a photographic background. I had a real feeling of nostalgia seeing the equipment I grew up with from a young child.

The temporary photography exhibition upstairs on First Women UK is also very interesting and inspiring, particularly for young...More
