Tiny little museum but we were greeted warmly and were left to have a leisurely browse around, we had a two year old and there was a few things to keep them amused. It's worth a walk around to kill half an hour or so.

The original light from Ruadh Readh lighthouse is here along with lots of very interesting local history. If you want to find out what it was like to live on a croft or how to knit local pattern stockings it's well worth a visit. There...More

A bit of local history, seems a bit expensive at £4 entry per head for just a wee museum of 2 smallish rooms.More

You seem disappointed by your visit, which is a great shame. We are sorry there was not enough to interest you. Many of our previous visitors have commented on the sheer amount of stuff that we have packed into our '2 smallish rooms'. We are...More

It's not the British Museum, It's a small building in a remote village. The exhibits are not sophisticated. That's the bad part. If you hadn't figured the above out anyway and expected anybody else, to be brutally honest you're too stupid to go in and...More

Really enjoyed the Finlay MacKinnon exhibition. As ever the museum volunteers are great ambassadors for the area. Kids had fun on the Easter egg hunt.

Thank you for your kind comments. We are glad the kids had fun. The Finlay MacKinnon exhibition was really popular and we have enjoyed hosting it. And yes - our volunteer curators are a real credit!

Still remember the old children text-books. Hasn't really changed from then to the 1st class children of today. They still do plant studies in biology. Has a very nice tea-room in the back of the museum, too.
