Excellent Hospitality: Avearge Football!
Dec 2019
We took firends to a match so they could support the visiting team.
The hospitality package was excellent and the catering very good - however, the visitors won so we wonder if the football is on the slide as results since have also failed to impress. We think this stadium is amazing for the size of Nailsworth and would be sorry to see it move away.

Ruining the passion of football!
Dec 2019 • Solo
The ground its self is small and non-league standard, but once upon a time it was full of passionate and entertaining fans and football.
Now this small club have become a mission statement for Dale Vince and his brigade to ruin the ethos of proper blue-collar, working mans football. For all intents and purposes, Forest Green Rovers are dead, killed off by Mr. Vince and replaced by this imposter “Eco-Tricity FC,” club and it is a real shame. The New Lawn isn’t a perfect stadium but we all know it will be 100% better than a Bamboo-built soulless bowl, moved miles away from Forest Green’s true home, just to satisfy the needs of some Eco-Maniac!!!

Ecotricity United!

Dale Vince has taken the heart and soul out of this one great football club. Yes we were never the biggest or the best, and we were stuck in the Conference but those were good times. Meat pies, good atmosphere, now it's just pompous nonsense and a way for Dale Vince to shove his ethos down everyone's throats. #VinceOut

Non league stadium with non league standards
May 2019 • Friends
What a pitiful stadium, how can any club in the football league maintain such poor standards.

First of all the car park was full before our coach reached the ground. Could they not reserve spaces for away coaches? Well the answer is no. So we had to be dropped off on a nearby road.

Staff are friendly though, there was a man and woman behind the counter when I collected my ticket plus the staff serving food in the ground were nice as well. Nice to see some positives.

They provided a small tent for away fans and were clearly not prepared for such a large following as the queue was at least 100 metres long.

The away stand was awful. Only two toilets and one food stall all the one place meaning there was no room to move at that end.

Food is pretty standard and is all Vegan. No meat or dairy which I’m sure will upset some people.

Only thing I enjoyed was the result. Tranmere Rovers fan.

Sustainable traffic jams
Mar 2019 • Solo
The Carbon Footprint the club makes obviously doesn't extend to how supporters attend.
At the top of steephill on a narrow county back lane in an area which has little to offer fans has encouraged fans to drive often on their own(No car sharing schemes apparent) causing horrendous traffic jams, the ''Park & Ride'' just serves the hill & back down, the service bus gets stuck in the jam meaning an hour wait along the polluting cars and it then cutting the return short at Stroud.
The stadium itself is fine so long as it's dry and you're not in the away end.
The food is vegan only but the service is not hygenic, hair nets, gloves not worn by servers, burgers cold, inside cheap white bread rolls, milk and condiments area outside on dirty table.

Smallest stadium I have been to
Mar 2019 • Couples
This was our first visit to Nailsworth and after checking on the internet was able to park in the CofE Primary school next door to the stadium. This avoided parking in the town centre and having to endure the steep long walk up the hill to The New Lawn.

On arrival tickets were only £20.00 but there were no seats in the away end having all been previously sold. My partner is suffering from an arthritic knee and cannot stand for 2 hours. The Stand Manager was most understanding and provided us with seats at no extra cost in the Main Home Stand. At this level there was no difficulty and we enjoyed excellent hospitality from the home FGR supporters and staff. This was a most odd feeling, akin to operating behind enemy lines.

FGR is a Vegan friendly establishment with the catering outlets only selling vegan food. Whilst I respect this stand point that the club can sell what they want, they cannot dictate to me what I eat, so I deliberately took 4 x ham sandwiches and 2 x pork pies and my, how delicious were they?

The conditions were atrocious with a howling wind and the pitch was none too great.

Well done to FGR for your hospitality and an excellent away day.

After the match the local traffic was total grid-lock all the way down the hill to the town centre where most traffic turned right on the A46 on route back to the M5 Motorway.

A Feast of Carpet Slippers
Mar 2019 • Couples
My wife & myself visited this ground as away supporters we are both Vegitarians. We could only buy uncovered standing seats ,ther was no sheltered services or bar it was cold & wet.
We purchased the veggie pie with gravy ,chips with curry sauce, they were absolutely dreadful, how you can serve up such poor quality food in this day & age is beyond belief. The food alone is a disgrace to the football league. How dare they serve up such disgraceful nutrition. My 15 year old carpet slippers would taste better & they have fake fur on.

A great family-friendly stadium with only vegan food.
May 2018 • Family
Me and my family where camping just three minutes down the road at thistledown farm. We had been coming to Nailsworth for two years, and had been passing the New Lawn continuously, then me and my dad decided to book tickets to see FGR play. We bought tickets three hours in advance at the stadium. The staff made it really easy to book. Sat down as soon as the whistle blew. It was an exciting game, with local fans, who clearly go to every game. We ordered chips, because they only have corn burgers. Park in the school, because there is only about ten spaces in stadium car park. 🤩🤩🤩

Great day out - and great food
Mar 2019 • Couples
Booked the VIP dining package - which included match ticket (seated - with a good view), match programme, car park, drink on arrival, buffet lunch before match, plus tea/coffee and cake at half time.

Really friendly club. Vegan food was very good and tasty. Service was also very good.

Sadly, Forest Green Rovers didn't manage to win on the day... despite playing well. But watch out next time!

Will visit again.
