To this small town, Saffron Screen not only brings the latest releases, but also some foreign and/or avant garde films not on general release. The jewels in the crown however are the special events like live ballet and opera from around the world.

I am conscious this is the first review score of less than 4 for Saffron Screen on Trip Advisor. I am not proud of that, but it reflects my sadness at the first event at this community cinema that I have not enjoyed. It was...More

My first visit to Saffron Screen was well overdue as a regular visitor to Saffron Walden! I'd heard plenty of good things about it and finally got round to seeing for myself. Being part of the High School complex I'd assumed it would be a...More

Brilliant local cinema, both mainstream and arty type films. Friendly staff, and now have a license to sell wine and beer to enjoy while watching the film.

Free parking , good coffee, full size digital, stereo screen, run as a not for profit by very talented people. Good mix of current, foreign and classic films. Good value ticket prices. My local cinema and I love it.
