Castle

This attraction is in good order for the age of the castle. It is a very clean site and it is a safe to walk around. I am over 70 years old

Castle Rising was worth the entrance fee. It had some really interesting history without it being overwhelming or boring. A nice walk around the outside and a glimpse inside to get a better feel for the history. We really enjoyed our visit.

Had a lovely day including a visit to castle rising! Audio equipment meant we learnt a lot about the site! Dog friendly and Cassie our puppy had a great time running around the neighbouring fields.

Great afternoon walking around the ruined castle. You can go in and visit a number of floors within the ruin. We paid for the audio guide (£1 plus £20 deposit) which was very good. It's a hand held speaker, very informative and easy to follow....really added to the visit. Amazing deep dry moat...biggest I have seen. Sides of moat are... More

Great way to spend an hour or so - and the dog came too ! It is a good educational trip for children. As usual with English Heritage there is always a but ! No toilets and cafe - what cafe? We missed the entrance to begin with because of bad signage - others had the same problem !!

A lovely castle with a couple of floors and areas to explore with a moat. Spent a good hour or so exploring. There's an audio tour but we didn't try that. Nice little shop, plenty of parking and separately run tea-rooms not far away.

I am not a huge buildings fan but occasionally one takes my fancy. We were journeying back from sandringham when we saw the sign. It was a cold damp day in March, but we ventured on. We were the only ones there almost. My daughter her boyfriend and my wife visited so a different mix of ages and expectations. Everyone... More
