Welcome to one of King's Lynn most beautiful buildings, The Majestic Cinema. This stunning cinema was officially opened on 23rdMay 1928; with the year commemorated in the stained glass windows at the front of the building.

As an independent cinema, the Majestic prides itself on being a friendly place to come for all movie goers. The main attraction to the Majestic, beside its films, is the building itself and all the history that comes with it.

Today, the Majestic has three screens but back when it was first opened the Majestic had one two tier screen (where Screen 1 and 2 are now), and a ballroom (where Screen 3 is now). Over the years the Majestic has transformed but features from its past still live on within the building. You just need to know where to look.

When you next visit the Majestic look out for certain features like the stained glass windows in the main entrance, the circle of zodiac signs in the ceiling of Screen 1, the bouncy spring-layered floor in Screen 3, and the old stage in Screen 2.

Every year the Majestic takes part in King's Lynn's Heritage Day where you have the chance to explore the cinema in more detail and to learn about the buildings past. The Majestic puts on tours with knowledgeable staff always willing to guide you through its history.

Currently, the Majestic has three screens. Screen 1, with its ornate dome, seats 313. Screen 2, which holds 245 seats. This screen has disabled access and also has a superior quality hearing loop system. Screen 3 holds 113 seats and was originally the ballroom which closed 1977. All of our screens now have Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound installed.

When we visit relatives in King's Lynn two or three times a year, we actually make a point of going to this cinema even if there is nothing in particular we want to see. It is lovely building, welcoming and homely and a joy to be in. The movies are fantastic value compared to the chain cinemas at c£4 a... More

I went to see the live showing of Madame Butterfly which didnt dissapoint. The Majestic is a lovely old cinema which gives value for money they try and show most of the latest movies.

The Majestic is a fantastic addition to King's Lynn's centre. There's not many places you can go and see a brand new film for £4! I would definitely recommend visiting the Majestic and also help support these independent businesses.

Upon visiting this cinema I was pleasantly surprised! This cinema is one of the last remaining venues not having been taken over by Cineworld or Odeon which means its prices remain low and the interior remains vintage, complete with an indoor bar; just like an original cinema. The stereotypical red carpets, movie posters and smell of popcorn fills the place.... More

You won't find a cheaper cinema in the area. The Majestic has 3 cinema screens, ranging in size. The seats are comfortable, sound is great. £4 a film, anytime of the day is an absolute bargain, well worth a visit. Recommend booking online as some of the films get sold out quickly. There is a slight charge for booking online,... More

No one of the most up to date cinema but 3d and only £4 per ticket so it's definitely worth a visit. Seating is comfy enough and sound is very good.

This cinema is a wonderful setting and makes going to the cinema such a fun experience. At £4 a ticket its an absolute steal too! Clearly soundproofing does not meet the same standards as modern establishments but this didn't form much of a hinderance.
