A historic home still lived in by the family: the Bedingfelds. We visited to make use of the chapel and the family could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Sadly we couldn't visit the house on that visit due to some structural problems with some windows in the roof space. But the tea room was excellent.

The setting for Oxburgh Hall is lovely with the moat around the house and a pretty garden. It is not a huge garden but there are also woodland walks which are particularly good in the spring. The Hall itself is fascinating, particularly for the items connected to Mary Queen of Scots. There is a good tea room and ample parking.

The hall is a beautiful moated building. The guides are extremely helpful and patient. The Mary Queen of Scots embroidery is stunning. The cafe ordering system is unusual but worked well and the food was fine. The lovely grounds are perfect for walking or sitting in and we saw pike in the moat!

Oxburgh Hall is a fortified manor house surrounded by a moat and set in large grounds which include a large wooded area with a trail to follow and more formal gardens as well as an orchard. There is also a chapel in the grounds which is well worth a visit and the ladies inside were delightful to talk to. It... More

Very nice old hall with a moat all around not crowded, a summer visit would be best, think opening is limited in the winter you need to check

We visited on a day with hazy sunshine. This made for great pictures as the light was not too bright to burn out the texture in the mellow brick and stone. The castle seems to float on air, especially if the get down to a low viewpoint to the right of the main gate. The interior was closed for repairs... More

This building is surrounded by a moat, it is very well kept. In one of the rooms there is a Priest Hole which you can climb inside. And the view from the top of the tower is beautiful. It also has the Oxburgh Chruch near by.

Due to refurbishment only part of the house was open. However it was very interesting and fun to climb the tower. Staff very helpful.

Came for the pumpkin trail but also had an unexpected surprise - thousands upon thousands of them, just stand still and they will land on you or walk and they will land on you! Although the house is closed for renovation work it is still a great place for both adults and children to enjoy with its walks and gardens.... More
