The bridge is controlled by one way signs where the travelling public have no idea what to do there. The bollards getting onto the bridge are too narrow for my car, an Aston DB6, and I have scraped my wheels several times, some cars and...More

We wandered across this interesting bridge, hence moving from Buckinghamshire to Berkshire, on our brief visit to Marlow. It is an interesting structure, presumably requiring more protection given the ongoing work to restrict the size of vehicles that can use it.

The Marlow bridge is beautiful. It was built to last, although no doubt for a far lighter workload than at present. It was the model for one of the main bridges in Budapest!

This is a lovely bridge crossing the river Thames, at Marlow. Apparently built between 1829 and 1832 to replace the wooden bridge sited further downstream. There are a number of boat houses by the bridge. You can also hire boats just a few metres from...More

Interesting bridge and very old, with great views over the Thames. The bridge is quite narrow when walking across the pathway, the bridge road itself allows only 1 car at a time.

Marlow is such a lovely place and a walk over the bridge is a must. Picturesque views of the Thames as it winds up and down.

Marlow Bridge has always been an attraction and must be the subject of millions of photos. It is architecturally significant and the only thing to watch is that the approaches are guarded by very narrow stone bollards to prevent the passage of heavy vehicles and...More

Marlow shares with Budapest a stylish steel suspension bridge, which adds a dramatic edge to the river crossing at Marlow. Pedestrians can also cross with lovely views of the river, the boats and the Compleat Angler Hotel.

This early suspension bridge was opened in 1832 and is still used by traffic today. The architect, William Tierney Clark built another surviving suspension bridge which joins Buda and Pest. Pedestrians can get up close to this remarkable structure and enjoy great views of the...More
