The Castle itself needs a lot of maintenance work. I can imagine that having a night party here would be lovely with candles in the outside staircase, leading to the main floor, mabe even have a group viewing of the chapel. The garden and surroundings need some love and care. So sad not to preserve such historical and what could be lovely heritage.

This is an old castle. There is a nice little cafe downstairs. There are 3 stories and a cellar. It’s a sort of museum you can wander around. It also holds conferences and weddings and there are 12 bedrooms which can be hired all together.

We went everywhere inside the building. It was very cool to get to see every room and restroom with no guests

It is surely much nicer in summer, but has its charms in winter as well. Castle is free to walk around, there are descriptions in both Swedish and English. Guided tour available on Saturdays. Cafe offers tasty food and sweets at very decent prices and the staff is super-super-super friendly. It is quite cold inside but also very cozy. Some of the rooms are used as meeting rooms and conference rooms. There are restaurants and a hotel around. A nature park and a dog hotel are in immediate vicinity,

Good place to go if you like Swedish history. There are informative signs all around the castle grounds and the castle is free to get in and you have full access to all the rooms. It's a bit of a funky place, as some of the rooms have been modernized, so you don't really get that castle feel.

Thank you, the modernized rooms are a part of the history and the owner before Sisyfos :). Have a great day and welcome back!

Absolutely amazing place with an interesting and long history.
Clean throughout.
Very friendly staff.
Spacious rooms.
Close to airport for convenience.
On site brewery and bakery. Only there for 4 days but worth a visit and it has ghosts.

Wenngarn offers a historic castles, hotels, restaurants, bakery and much more. A highly ambitious effort to rebuild a village community. Will you stay here for a conference, the restaurant surprises you with good food and a certain finesse. The area is full range of different activities.

We were visiting Wenngarn on August. Nice weather, but most of all the place and environment were excellent. From Boston to Baden-Baden absolutely on top 5 places to visit. Bear from bruggeri, finest pizza, great hotel and breakfast. We were also training in gym and cysleing around the forest. I can recommend to business meetings, sporting holliday and just for pleasure for weekend. We will be back.

Perhaps there are people to assist you during the busy summer season but we were unable to find anyone. The day we stopped there was a TV film crew working in some of the rooms. The medieval church made the stop worth while.
