Pretty but not a great beach

The photograph is of the west end of Burriana which can be reached by walking to the east along a narrow strip of gritty sand. The steps smell as people use it for a toilet and let their dogs use it as a toilet. It used to have a small cafe near the bottom but is presently boarded up .This is below... Nice beach for sunbathing or swimming. Quiet and sheltered. Has a few sunbeds in summer months that you can rent.

We booked this company to pick up from and drop off at Malaga airport to and from Nerja. Driver was waiting in the arrival hall when we landed with an easy to read card with my name in large letters. He took us straight to a very clean comfortable air conditioned vehicle and the journey to the resort was a... More

Fabulous private pool over looking the Mediterranean sea, traditional town square with Moorish fountain, beautiful immaculately manicured gardens, spectacular lake and fountain, all superbly maintained and managed.

The Beach is accessed from some quite steep steps. It is quite small although it links with Capistrano beach. The Beach is grey shingle. There are sun beds and some colourful boats. Did not fancy swimming here as we have been told that Nerja do not have a treatment plant and pump out at sea. Oh no! In my opinion,... More

Pebbles get really hot however so don't pitch your gear too far away. The little Chinese massage man is an absolute must. He charges €15 for a 20 min massage worth at least twice that, very thorough & most enjoyable. Look out for the lucky lucky men selling everything from trainers to handbags for more bargains.

Nerja council is a disgrace having halted building works on the new sewage plant so that the huge amount of sewage the many thousands of tourists and locals create is pumped directly into the med and flows freely along the beaches. The plan was to have a sewage works compeleted in 2002!!!!!! We wont be back again

We walked down to Capistrano and Burriana beaches on our first evening in Nerja and, while they were both quite attractive coves and the water looked clear, the beaches themselves weren't much to write home about as the sand looked quite grey and dirty (in colour only - there was no litter and in this sense the beaches were clean)...
