It is worth going up to Jaén castle, castillo de Santa Catalina. From the top of the hil you will be able to admire the best views of the city, surrounded by a sea of olive trees. Once in the castle, don't forget to continue...More

We drove up hoping to have some refreshments at the adjacent parador but it was closed for refurbishment. Instead we visited the castle. There is a modest entrance fee but it is worth it. You can walk along the walls and visit the towers. The...More

Very interesting and inexpensive. Some steps but nothing problematic. It is next to the Parador of Jaen so afterwards you can call in for a drink.

Visited on the 10th of July. Car parking is free and it cost 10 Euros to visit the castle for 4 people. The views are spectacular and the castle is very well maintained. As stated in an earlier review trainers are advisable to walk around.

Great castle and the views of Jaen are spectacular. Lovely young lady with wonderful English explains how to walk around the grounds and what to be sure and see. Recommended!
