Quieter area to east of Fuengirola. Wide promenade and beach with bars and restaurants along road. There are a lot of appartment blocks but some quaint bars tucked away.

Is OK in winter but would not go in summer as it is absolutely packed. Not my idea of fun. Very touristy

Had a walk around here in the evening and the Christmas lights and tree are spectacular, great area for shops, bars and restaurants and a train station is nearby should you need to travel elsewhere.

Go just west of the hotel Angela and you will find the statue. Just nearer the storm drain away from the promenade is a small shrine which is what I think you are after.

Everything happens in Fuengirola. You will have a good time and plenty of places to eat.
