We were staying at the Parador and decided to take a walk around town. We walked past the Museo de la Ciudad and decided to see what it was about. Once inside we were surprised how much was there and how well done it was. Worth a visit if you are in Carmona

Surprisingly well documented collection about the long history of Carmona, presented in a beautiful building. Some of the explanations are also in English. To appreciate the informative video at the beginning you have to know Spanish. The pieces on display document the history of the place from the neolithic until today. You do not need more than one hour for... More

As other reviewers have said, this is a relatively small museum but there is enough of interest to make an enjoyable visit. Although we did not eat here, the cafe has a good selection of varied dishes on offer. Admission is still free.

We happened across this by accident. It is lodged in an ex palace in a site street. Entrance is free. It has local finds, particularly from the Roman era and there is a pleasant courtyard. It also has a cafe.

We found the museum by accident and were pleasantly surprised. It is not very big but there are interesting artifacts from the town's long history. Especially interesting were the roman mosaics, some of which are in very good condition. Worth a visit.

In the centre of the local council offices we found a magnificent Roman Mosaic. This has been unearthed during building work and fully restored

I think some of the reviews are a bit unfair. This is an interesting museum to while away an hour or so. It tells, quite well, this small town's quite amazing history. There are some lovely artefacts and it's well set out. Some of the paintings are good, too. It's a shame that other towns in Europe aren't as proud... More

They have remains of the roman tiles they have unearthed, as this was a very important roman city, as well as arab, visigoth, and what have you. Really impressive.

Oh dear, I had hoped for better... A rather dreary museum which tries to tell the story of Carmona from prehistoric times to the present day but manages to make it all seem rather dull. Many of the interactive displays no longer work, and all in all it feels like a place which has seen better times, which is why... More

The city museum has much to offer - I especially liked the Roman pieces on display especially the mosaic works tastefully shown. Carmona was certainly an important place for trade and living.
