The alcazaba comes with a handy audio guide and is a nice way to spend an evening. You are guided around the Castle and the grounds and there is a great view of Antequera from the bell tower in the Alcazaba.

Stopped off here for a break when travelling from Malaga to Granada during Semana Santa. Nice little town, walked up and wandered round the Alcazaba. You get an interesting audio guide and the views are worth the trip.

Visited the Alcazaba whilst in Antequera with friends in March 2017. Great experience - fascinating history - would definitely recommend.

Well worth the trip. We took a taxi to the top and walked down both times. There's an audio guide so you know what you're looking at and it tells the whole story of the area. Very informative and worthwhile.

High on the hill above Antequera. Well worth a visit. Restaurant closed on Tuesdays. For 8euro you can view the church and the fortress. A handset with lots of into us part of the ticket. Need to be able to climb as there are lots of steps. View from the top is amazing. .

Impressive complex on a giant scale at the top of the old town in Antequera. Views from the battlements are amazing - and the guided tour has some charm. Didn't listen to it all - but that's me, not them! Worth a visit overall.

Alcazaba de Antequera. On our way back to home, we made a stop in the city of Antequera to visit the historical centre, and so we took a visit of the “Alcazaba”, the entrance fee is 6€ pro person, and you get a small plan with info about the Alcazaba. This is a well conserved castle and indeed a very... More

If you like ruins you will like this old fortress at the top of Antequera. Parts have been restored, parts left ruined. The entrance fee includes a vocal description recording which i found very helpful and informative. Great views over the city and surrounding countryside.
