Surf in September was breaking less than three metres and parking within one kilometre of lighthouse (farol) is limited, however, it is cool to be within sight of where the biggest waves haunt the earth in January
This is a very pretty beach, not simple to get to, but if you are utilizing a map service, not difficult at all.
Not a huge amount of parking, and then you have to walk down a dirt hill to reach the beach.

This is just north of O Sitio, and is an un-commercialized, wide, clean beach; where the water can have huge waves in winter. Nice place to take a relaxing picnic and be away from crowds. However, there are no convenience nearby.
The only reason I can't give the North Beach (Praia do Norte) a 5-star rating is because if you don't have a car it is challenging to get to, and there are no services here such as a cafe, washrooms etc. Please make an effort....More
