If you are in Nazaré and are interested in culture besides nature than the church is worth to visit. From the inside it's much more beautiful as from the outside. Like in each Catholic Church you will see the richness of the Catholics.

This marvelous church is in the barroque style, with some motifs in golden leaf. The architecture is superb, the entrance is free. It holds the image of our lady of Nazaré. The story tells the image was done the hands of Saint Joseph himself. Worth a visit to contemplate the religious art, one of the finest of Portugal.

When you will visit the church you must go upstairs to visit the figure of Nostra Segnora very closely from there you will have a great view on the church and you will see amazing corridors with tiles. Really worth to see.

Not only the view from up top, but also the culture - the shops, the church with its old marvels and the restaurants around the square. A must visit site
