Perfect place for any kind of day, interesting walks, by the lake, great views either before or after a coffee and cake. Changing scenery and regular events. My dog and I enjoy visiting. 👣🐾👣🐾

Not the biggest or most historical of houses ... indeed it was a hunting lodge and not an ancestral home. But beautifully situated .. Enjoy a gentle stroll in the gardens, or a hefty walk around the grounds....a lovely afternoon guaranteed

This is an absolutely breathtaking walk. You could easily spend the day walking around. Unfortunately we arrived to late for the house tour but the gardens more than made up for it. Its not the biggest stately pile but its got plenty of character and the rooms are really interesting. Take time to take in the history of the place. Learn the history from the audio visual room. all... More

Stopped for lunch en route. Coffee shop is expensive for very bog standard ingredients and mediocre food. Frustrating that you had to buy an entry ticket to use the playground having spent money in the coffee shop. Not worth the stop for lunch but grounds look lovely if you had more time than we did.
