Do it! You’ll only regret it for a little while 😂😂😂
The experience was fantastic (as far as I can remember!). Our tour guide Aoife, was a font of knowledge and the craic was mighty!! The whiskey was to die for (and having just regained consciousness) I can vouch for its potency 😬. All in all, a great day out (my head would disagree) and great value for money 👍🏻

    Interesting and Informative Tour!
We recently did the tour at Slane Distillery. While in Ireland, we toured several other "bigger name" Distilleries in large cities, and this was the only tour where we were actually able to see the whiskey making process and production line. This was special and set them apart from other tours. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgable. Take a trip here before this locale becomes a bigger tourist attraction, as it is sure to become more popular in coming years!

We had a lovely time on the Slane whiskey tour. Great for locals as well as tourists. Our tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and passionate about the estate, its history, music and sustainability program.

The Slane Whiskey Distillery is housed in the old castle stables. I believe the first batch sold was a blended whiskey bought in from another distillery. Most new distilleries do this till the first batch matures. It’s the reason Gin distilleries are popping up everywhere as you can sell you product immediately, no need to let it age in casks.
It’s a nice compact distillery and they have tours. Worth a visit.

This was one of the best tours I’ve ever had (and I’ve been on many tours of breweries, distilleries and wineries over the years). The background and information provided by our guide, Gary, was insightful and fascinating. Gary and every Slane employee we met were very welcoming and hospitable, the thoroughness of the tasting and quality of the whiskey itself were excellent, and the beauty of the property and facilities were top notch. This is a great visit even if you are staying in Dublin; it's a short drive from the city and the countryside is absolutely beautiful. Don't miss it!

really excellent tour today! I travelled with my dad who has early onset dementia. I mailed in advance to let them know. Straight away on arrival the staff were so accommodating. Gary our tour guide was great, really friendly and engaging! He also deftly managed to deliver a fantastic tour despite my dad sometimes been a little challenging and wanting to get to the whiskey tasting asap 😆 the tour is a really interesting mix of history, culture and science behind the blending of the whisky which was delicious. Needless to say we left with a bottle of Slane whiskey. Well done and thanks again Gary! Niall

Fantastic experience in Slane today. Really personal experience. Olivia was fantastic in the Gift shopping helping me with organising special cask edition. Gary was really personal gave us great historical context on the castle, the music, the distillery and whiskey. Sold us on a cocktail masterclass class for our next visit.
The cocktails on the menu and Irish coffee were top class.

Great family day all in.

3 generations of my wifes family equally enjoyed the experience

Well well well what a day. We arrived 2 hours early to grab a coffee and do the river walk on the estate before the tour. The walk was closed but Gary suggested we grab an Irish Coffee, he led us into a little snug with a fire (the tack room), we were totally content and happy to hang out sampling more than one whiskey (or three😜).

The tour itself was amazing, informative and fun !

The whiskey itself is top notch. Just book it, it was a great day out.

A fantastic tour and tasting conducted by our knowledgeable guide Gary. We learnt a lot about Slane, the Castle and the art of whiskey distilling. The tasting was a great way to finish off. Thoroughly recommend the tour and great value for money.

We as a family together with our children's partners visited Slane Distillery today. From the moment we met James our tour guide it was extremely relaxed. It was the introductory tour and James showed us around the grounds and the Distillery explaining the history of both the castle and the distillery.
James explained the whole whiskey process in easy to understand terms and made the whole tour enjoyable. Finishing off with a dram of the Conyngham finest and a refreshing cocktail.

Outstanding tour, experience and taste.
An impulsive decision on a Saturday morning took us from Dublin to Slane Distillery. Only a 50 minute drive took us to the castle and the refurbished stables that now houses the distillery. Gary, the tour guide was top class: informed, engaging, with infectious enthusiasm for the product and place.
The tour is pitched just right - enough for the knowledgeable to learn something new, and completely accessible for those who are new to the process and product.
The tasting after the tour is exceptionally generous!, and we were so taken with the whole place, we stayed on for one of the best Irish Coffees ever in the beautifully restored stables. The shop is seductive, with great quality merchandise, whiskey (and accessories), and LPs of all the great groups that have played Slane over the years.
By the way - the whiskey is really good: the standard one is smooth, easy with just a nice level of sweetness; the higher end one is like Christmas cake in a glass. And, while I’ve never been a big fan of whiskey and ginger, Slane whiskey seems to work particularly well for this.
Can’t say enough good things about the people involved, the refurbishment, the facilities, and basically the whole experience. A really fantastic addition to the local and tourist experience.
