Once in a lifetime experience. Yes, it is cold, but they give you gear. Try to keep hands out of water and they will at least keep you warmer

This was an amazing experience. Steve, our instructor, made the whole process before and during snorkeling easy and fun. I highly recommend putting this on your bucket list of things to do in Iceland.

Snorkeling in Silfra was so worth it! The staff was awesome and so friendly. Our guide was Fae, she was super personable, friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Don't let the cold deter you from snorkeling between tectonic plates! The dry suits keep you warm enough to...More

Where else in the world can you snorkel between tectonic plates in pure glacial water? Nowhere! Well organised with friendly guides, good quality kit which works well to keep you warm (only your fingers and lips really get wet/cold) and hot chocolate for afterwards. Yes,...More

Amazing that you can float in water with a temperature of 2 degrees. The drysuit keeps you warm. We received good instructions and ultimetly it was less scary than we initially thought. Amazing clear waters looking 30m down

I traveled with my 16 year old daughter. This adventure was her idea and I was a bit reluctant (snorkeling in cold water??). This was one of the highlights of our trip. The guides were friendly and so helpful. The snorkeling experience was beautiful. I...More

We went snorkeling with "Scuba" Steve from dive IS. He was upbeat and helpful as we pulled our gear on and prepared on a chilly and rainy day. He was entertaining throughout the experience and gave extra guidance when needed for first time snorkelers. Even...More
